Posted May 30, 200420 yr comment_83336 And you said they are impossible to find Chris. Here it is, a braided cloth radiator hose for that oem, Factory restored Z. I hope one of you guys get this. This is probably the hardest to find cloth hose out there. When I see when of these under the hood of a Zed I am pretty impressed. I would like to get it for my car, but I have other things that I am planning on purchasing for my car. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7903551848&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AITGood luck,Ben Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11984-braided-cloth-radiator-hose/ Share on other sites
May 30, 200420 yr comment_83343 I'm interested to see how much it goes for ( but I don't intend bidding)my guess $75, based on the current bid of $26 with over 5 days left. However if there are a couple of people who are 'desparate' to get it it could go higher ( remember $530 for a throttle/choke set-up a few months back) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11984-braided-cloth-radiator-hose/#findComment-83343 Share on other sites

He had already bid higher. I'm sure it will go for more. We'll see where time takes the bidding... May 30, 200420 yr comment_83346 Isn't landmissle a memeber here? Mark is first in line. I've had enough trouble bidding against my fellow club members. I'm staying out ot this one as much as I'ld like to have it. I'm almost positive kats bought the last (pair) I saw on eBay well over a year ago and as I recall, they went for well over $100. GO FOR IT!!! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11984-braided-cloth-radiator-hose/#findComment-83346 Share on other sites
June 1, 200420 yr Author comment_83541 I have pictures and the factory brochure of the early 260 and the hoses are all of the cloth braided type, but they seem a little darker in color than the 240 ones. Would this hose be accurate for my early 260?Ben Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11984-braided-cloth-radiator-hose/#findComment-83541 Share on other sites

June 4, 200420 yr comment_84017 You only missed by 3 seconds and $3 though. That was the closest bit of outbidding at the auction end I have seen in a while. When it was $34 with 25 seconds to go I almost thought about bidding if it was going to go that cheap!!!! June 4, 200420 yr comment_84022 Actually, there's no telling how much I really missed it by. I bid with 17 seconds to go, and was high bidder at $80. The other guy then sniped in with 3 seconds left, and put in a bid that was something higher than mine. There is no way to tell what his maximum bid was - e-bay just bids slightly higher than the next highest bid for you. So he could have bid $150 for all I know. Let's think that :cross-eye . That way I won't worry about the fact that he might have only bid $105, and if-only....!!!!:tapemouth That's one reason I snipe. Gives me no time to lose control and get into a bidding war. I wasn't really worried about it. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11984-braided-cloth-radiator-hose/#findComment-84024 Share on other sites
June 5, 200420 yr Author comment_84057 Man, I was going to bid on this right at the end, hoping that it would be around 60USD. I was busy at the time so I was not able to get to my computer. Jeez, 104!!! That is crazy. Yeah it is a nice piece, and would be great for a restoration, but how hard would it be to make these, or just make a cloth braided sheath for the rubber hoses? I sure wish Nissan made some of these rare parts. June 5, 200420 yr comment_84064 Way to Go, Mark!!! That's the spirit!!!I am soooo glad I didn't get into that. One year ago, a PAIR of hoses went for around $100. I was surprised the hose sat at a low price for so long. The auction is raising hairs on all the forums - but I have seen this sort of thing going on for some time now. The rare early stuff is SERIOUSLY expensive and the competition is fierce.
