As for the blowing fuse, I'm also guessing it's a wire pinched somewhere. Try using a multimeter and checking that line somewhere in the cabin for continuity with the chassis of the car. You can trace along the wire and find out where the short is.

Hurray, the lights work again. Found my my Fuse box was shorting out on an exposed wire underneath my Parking light fuse. Hey jepherz, you changed my rims!!!
