Hey Folks, I have to remove the old faded decals off the air cleaner cover without damaging the paint. Any suggestions? I have some 3M Woodgrain and Stripe Remover but it says it will damage a laquer finish.

Thanks for the fast reply on that man!!

After soaking with the GOO Gone, use a heatgun/hir dryer to warm the decal & soften tyhe glue even more.

Don't burn the paint

3M makes a nice product too. It is called adhesive remover. I have used it on even pretty fresh paint. Got the gule off and left a 36HR clearcoat in good shape.
