New Z

Featured Replies

Just bought this 260z Wednesday. I don't know much about it. The former owner kept it in his garage mostly. Only drove it occasionally (about 2000 miles in 3 years). He owned a body shop, so his investment was mainly in the paint job.

It runs ok. Needs a carb adjustment I think--terrible gas mileage, backfires, sluggish when its cold. The more I drive the more I love it though. I plan to use it daily.

Nice, clean looking car!!!

You'll soon learn to adjust those carbs and get her running perfectly. Don't worry about the sb'uttering, you'll get used to that. :)

I took it to a mechanic that the previous owner used. They said the carb was ok but the clutch was definetly studdering. They recommended a new clutch (about $500 to $600). Looks like the fun is just beginning.

Hey- nice looking Z!! Congrats on your new "baby". I have a 73 that looks very similar- needs paint tho..Zya, JA

Thanks for all the complementz. I paid $3500. And I was very happy to get her at that price. I think I got a steal.

Hey, I did some research and I found this old picture of EP admiring my z in Memphis way back in 74.

LOL !

that looks good, except for the strange black glow the car has ;)

3500 US? That's about the same as what I bought mine for, and mine looks pretty similar (except mine's a 240)...
