Insane 240z Video (How not to drive on the road)
Do you know how much power that z has?

The Kit car accessories are genuine Ferrari badges, I do agree with you that Ferrari does not like people ripping of their cars and usually takes legal action on anyone selling replications of their cars.

Lots of manufactures that make these kits, don't think any are conversions from Z's: http://www.daytona-coupe.com/photographs/photographs.html http://www.kitcarprofile.com/Profile_11_Cobra_Daytona.html http://www.factoryfive.com/table/ffrkits/coupe/coupekit.html http://members.aol.com/COUPECHUCK/index.htm To name but a few What about a Ferrari GTO z conversion, lots of those about

z cars, small blocks, 5 speeds, etc.
I personally like the V8 idea and would have preferred a V8 in my 240 except for the extra weight and extra setup requirements like suspension, breaks, gearbox, drive shaft, diff, chassis strength. Plus no one would insure me. With a straight 6 conversion you don't 'need' to do these and the weight generally stays the same.

Ricers
well not wanting to sound sexist but the majority of these hotties have no idea, my 240 was once referred to as 'is that the same as Mitch's car?' Mitch's car being a Capri.
-
Ricers
Good points but if your in an area where some specific cars are very commonly done up (badly), you begin to 'hate' them. Not saying that this is appropriate behaviour for replying to threads but sometimes it slips out. No offence intended.

Parts trade?
Zed and hmsports, Do you know if the Subaru diff's fit the z's half shafts? Thanks

Roofliner glue
a drill with a rust / paing remover will get rid of it easily

My Fellow Australians ...
I'm going down the same path at the moment as well (with focus on the LSD rather than ratio), if you find any info please post it. There are R180 LSD's, just about every 510 owner seems to have one, they seem to get a lot of the R180 LSD diff's from Subaru's. Don't know if they will fit. I have found one place that makes the LSD internals to fit into z R180's: http://members.optushome.com.au/amaxeng/five10/diff.htm But it is really expensive

Tan Interior Rivets for a 240
This may seem like a silly question but how do you rivet them in, do you need a special interior rivet gun?
-
OMFG sooooo powerful soo faaast!!!
nice, (I really don't like Honda's)
-
Horsepower vs. Torque?
(Torque x Engine speed) / 5,252 = Horsepower
-
R180 Lsd
also I have noticed about every 510 owner has an R180 LSD, a lot of them from Subaru's, does anyone know if the same conversion will work for a Z? Thanks
-
R180 Lsd
I have seen a few sites mention R180 LSD, does anyone know where you get these from?

Triple Webbers VS Standard?
you defiantly need a cam that supports triple carbs or the carbs will only preform as good as twin carbs
-
Convertible 260... 2+2 ?
VR engineering sold bits to do this (along with z's and kit cars): http://www.kitcarz.com./zxspyder.htm but they are currently selling their co.

E-31 head.....
I always thought the newer heads were better like the P90's and N42's. as they had better flow and bigger valves
-
How can you tell what engine I have
I believe those turbo blocks have extra cooling holes as well
-
Triple Webbers VS Standard?
opps misread your post, I thought you were going from carbed to injection
-
Triple Webbers VS Standard?
Injection will use less petrol than triples. I talked to a z engine specialist about this once and he seemed to think injection would give 5% more power than the triples would (from stock) so if anything there will be more power but probably nothing noticeable other than on you pocket. However you'll loose that carbed engine sound
