AT cooling tubes
Many moons ago, when my 73 auto blew a line, i believe we just went to NAPA and had new one made from hydraulic line. Fast & cheap. If you haven't already learned, get a set of flare-nut wrenches to remove & install.

Okay- turns out we do have 2 sets of fiberglass fenders, i or rod will post pics when we find them. Shipping really is a tremendous PITA. Ed, if Rod wants to sell his, are you really interested?

WTB: cowl panel for 240
Hey- i just remembered that we parted an early 260 last spring, it had fiberglass fenders. I'll check & see if they are still stashed in the barn, or were trashed. Also, if anyone is serious about buying them, got any shipping plans? Seems when i got mine, i paid $150 for the pair, but nearly that again for shipping from Ca to NY!! They are certainly bulky (but LIGHT), and a pain to package...

Factory radio?
Sure looks original. Are you going to use it? May be worth a few bucks on Ebay... I pulled one from my 73 to put in a CD player, then left it in the garage when we sold that house:stupid:

WTB: cowl panel for 240
"just in case"??!! Don't think such a thing! Unless you mean, "just in case" you get another Z car... But surely not, "just in case of an accident.."

floor boards and frame rails
I'll add: take note of where the fuel lines are placed BEFORE using the plasma cutter. Damn near lost a 260 the hard wayROFL My 240 was simple cut, fit, and weld in the new floors. The late 260 had fuel lines run down through the channel beneath the floor. Neat surprise, to say the least. Found it best to have plasma cutter in one hand, water hose in the other!!

WTB: cowl panel for 240
Holy crap! this place astounds me:classic: Rick has me all set in spades, thanks to all for your consideration. The reason i need the cowl goes back to my Roadster post,- time to get to work on the 73 for my wife:love: It's the easiest thing i could think of to replace to get me "in the groove". Next i'll pull the fenders... So, next question- both front fenders have rust holes in the lower rears. I already own the metal patches to weld in (from Tweeks, WAY back when). Also own a set of fiberglass fenders from Arizona Zcar. What would you each suggest as far as replacing/repairing? I figured metal would be best, but the glass is light and a basic bolt-on:ermm: Car will be a summer fun driver, not for show or race. it may still get that V8 if i have my way though:D what to do, what to do??

WTB: cowl panel for 240
Hi everyone- i need a rustfree cowl panel- the metal panel between the hood & windshield, the wipers mount through. Going on my 73, but i *think* any 70-78 will fit. If you have one it good shape, and are willing to ship to NY, (or are near), let me know. ThankZ Jeremiah

Newbie engine question
I'd think you could do a complete rebuild of the engine you have for that much.. Or get a 280 block & do the same. A ZX non-turbo block (F54?), flat top pistons, use your original head and carbs- you should get all you want out of that combo, i would think. HTH, Jeremiah

Do i want a Roadster??
Hmmmm...Z-roadster:love: But Keith is closer, and drives a truck.....Hey Keith, wanna make a couple bucks?? I doubt Susie would bite on a vacation to Texas to trailer a Z home, but hey, you never know.. We (Susie & I) briefly discussed this- she would opt for: the new T-bird convertible newer 'Stang convertible new Z-convertible a "finished" 1600/2000 i figure by shopping, you could find a Datsun for 1/3 to 1/2 the price of a T-bird? Then she said: "Why don't you just finish the body and paint the 73 for me to drive?" God, i love that girl! (of course, i had planned a V8 in that car) I guess i should feel lucky that these are the worries that i lay awake thinking of.. I think when the sun warms the garage, i'll start tearing the 73 fenders off. Only so many times a wife will give the go ahead for our other passions, eh? So, new plan: make the 73 look decent, title it in her name, to show how much i love her, THEN shop for a V8 Z, or convertible, or Roadster.... Thanks everyone, Jeremiah ps- if i find a "deal", plans change accordinglyLOL

Do i want a Roadster??
Hi everyone, Well, maybe its because Spring is creeping near, or i'm just getting itchy, but i've been "shopping" for another car. Yep, the wife sure is excited at THAT idea! Plenty of choices out there, but i'm a Datsun fan, and somewhat cheap So, question is: If you own, or have owned a 1600 or 2000 roadster- how do/did you like it? I don't need a show car, just a fun summer driver.. What do you like or dislike about them, and anything to be advised of? Anyone suggest other relatively cheap summer driver, thats cheap to insure & maintain, (a convertible) that i may look for? Thanks for any advise, wish me luck! Jeremiah p.s.- sure wish i'd bought Mike's when it was for sale!!:tapemouth :stupid:

important information for all
for reference- i got an email, not about buying a car, but rather a bogus africa $ transfer for some "plane crash victim's estate" or some such story. I reported it in a few places: Thank you for your submission to the FBI Internet Tip Line. In as much as the FBI receives reports of this type of activity on a regular basis there is no need to forward any such additional emails to us. A review of the information you provided revealed that you are being approached over the Internet to participate in one of many variations of an advance fee scheme being perpetrated by individuals from various West African nations, particularly Nigeria. This scam has also become popular and perpetrated by individuals all over the world, including in Korea and the UK. Victims have lost substantial funds in the past and all requests for travel to foreign locations should be ignored. The United States Secret Service (USSS) has developed an excellent, detailed description of this fraud scheme, which can be accessed at www.secretservice.gov/alert419.shtml. If you have been victimized by one of these schemes, please forward appropriate written documentation to the USSS, Financial Crimes Division, 950 H Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20223, or contact them via telephone at (202) 406-5850. We encourage you to share this Web page with family and friends. Your continued cooperation in this and other matters is greatly appreciated. You do not need to forward the emails to us. If you have not, simply delete them from your computer. Also, if you know that you are receiving spam mail, it is advisable not to open them, because even if you do not reply, the sender has validated your email address. And, you may get other spam mail. For your information, the Internet Tip Line (ITL) was created on 9/11/01, in response to the terrorist attacks upon America. We quickly established a mechanism for the public to submit information to the FBI via the Internet, and we received our first tip at 10:31 AM that first day. Director Mueller has since made the ITL a permanent part of FBI operations, and we have thus far received over 840,000 tips from around the globe, from which thousands of leads have been sent to FBI Field and Legal Attaché offices for action. Initially, almost 100% of the tips received were related to the terrorist attacks; now, approximately 45% of all tips received are related to almost every other FBI criminal program, e.g., drug trafficking, organized crime, money laundering, pyramid schemes, child pornography, fugitives, bank robbery. Our operation is completely automated and paperless. Submitted tips are received immediately, reviewed within minutes and prioritized by trained Professional Support personnel, and Agents set action leads within the hour, as appropriate. We encourage you to share this information with your family, friends, and co-workers, and encourage them to not hesitate to submit information they may deem of interest to the FBI. IMPORTANT - NOTE THE FOLLOWING: The FBI does not maintain an email address to submit information or attachments to directly; therefore, please do not reply directly to this message via your email client. The FBI maintains an automated system that is designed to track all information received, to ensure that all tips are addressed in a timely and efficient manner. Therefore, please visit the FBI.GOV Web site again should you have occasion to submit additional information. We WILL NOT open or respond to “reply†email.

1970 (11/70) 240Z for sale (and Weber carbs)
Wow. Has it been started at all since '92? Was it "prepared" to sit idle for that long, or just pulled in & parked? Wish i was retired so i could spend my spring taking it apart & bringing her back to life! Do you have a "ballpark" price you're asking? Guess it depends on those first questions.. Good luck, Jeremiah

so, where are you exactly? May be able to find a buyer semi-locally www.zccr.net (in Rochester) if you send an email to the prez- Dave Palermo- he can forward it to members. I seem to remember someone asking about finding a new Z very recently. Good luck, Jeremiah- already have a 73 & 74, need a bigger garage, or to move the 914 out!
