  1. French is screwed up too
  2. Sorry, alfa, I missed your question there..... Captain Hook's real name was Christopher Newport. Both were dark-haired captains of dubious pasts, and both were missing their right hands which were replaced by a metal hook. Christopher Newport commanded the ships that landed the settlers at Jamestown in Virginia. Dave
  3. Yes. Part of the brain stays awake, however, to control movement of their gills

  9. -The egg came first -it was intergalactic rebels that came to earth and hunted the dinosaurs to extinction -they paid with Visa -all blonde jokes are true -because the gyroscope in your head tells you aren't upside down -counter-clockwise -no -because you are :devious:

  15. -you were thinking how much fun it was to drive 600 miles and not have to pay some dillhole to ship it -you're thinking of stupid questions because you have nothing better to do, or you don't want to do what you need to do -because you go for shallow, good-looking types -Yes, brakes are good -No, keep the Z you have. It's yours, you need to make it work instead of giving up -you're asking questions again because you're curious and didn't pay attension in school, plus you think this is fun (which is sad) -if a tree falls in a forest and no one hears it it will make a vibration, which in turn will make noise -I assume you meant "no" instead of "know", so in that case you would be assuming the fetile position in a dark corner naked and crying
  16. 7. Because 7 is a kick arse number. All the other number bitches are affraid of it because he ate 9 and they know he will do the same to them. And, 7 is the luckiest number in gambling.
  17. I'm late (as usual) to the thread here, because I'm lazy. My name is Dave and I am going to school to be an auto mechanic. My love for Z cars runs deep as my father got his 260 in '74 (obviously...) and it has been in the family ever sense. I own her now. So I grew up around Z cars my whole life, and have developed a love for them. I am currently working on breathing life into my 260 that is sitting in the garage in all her glory. I have big plans for her, including either a full NA build-up or an L28ET turbo swap, a 5-speed trany, MSA XL brake kit, full frame-off restoration, elimanting all rust, etc. I want to mix it with modern technology, but still keep it a Z. I look forward to tackling a custom power sunroof and rollcage sometime. I eventually hope to own another Z soon (once my 260 is drive-able), and it will probably be a 240. I intent on converting this to a complete track car, with rollcage, racing seats, carbon fiber body bits, stripped interior, and a fully built engine. I also plan on opening my own Z-specialising shop (but will do work on other cars as well) within 10 years or so. I will specialize in all Z cars, but mainly 240/260/280 era Z's. Still not sure what part of the country I will open my garage in....... My car ownership history isn't too long as I am not that old, but it goes as follows: -1st car, 1974 Chevrolet C-20 half-ton truck with a 350, 4x4 , 4 inch suspension lift, 38 inch tires, 8 foot bed 2nd car- 1987 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z. Modified her and ran into the high 13's. Turbo baby. Also my first encounter with a speeding ticket. -1974 260Z 4-speed was "given" to me by my father in exchange for money. Haven't logged more than 2 hours of raod use with her, she's in that bad of shape. -1988 Toyota Supra 5-speed (fluke, owned her for only 2 weeks, doesn't really count, but I made $400 bucks off it!) -1993 Mazda RX-7 Touring 5-speed (stolen 2 years ago, and an absolutely money pit. The diva of sports cars.) -Right now I am cruising in my 1999 (newest car I have owned yet) Toyota Camry 4cyl 5-spd. Hey, it goes and it gets 34-mpg!!! Me and my girlfriend are seriously thinking of moving in together after I graduate from tech school. I look forward to being a father someday. Hope this all gives you a better picture of who I am. Dave
  18. sorry, Dave, but I think I didn't explain the hydracharger right. In the article, Dave Coleman of Sport Compact Car explains it better....
  19. Opps, my bad And yes, Garret dropped it probably because it would cost too much R&D and too much to produce, and the public may not like it, and it is only slightly more efficient than a turbo/super anyways.
  20. Use an image re-sizer program, like InfranView. Or contact Mike.
  21. -Gladiators are awesome. They kill each other like men and don't p**** out like most people. -Unforntenatly...... -Yes, you do, otherwise you wouldn't have brought it up. -Well, considering that you live far away, I would say no. But if you lived closer, why not?
  22. ^^ True, Nissan can use the money.
  23. I think I explained the hydracharger wrong.... there's an editorial on it in Sport Compact Car by Dave Coleman in the "Technobable" section. He explains it better.... And why the electric motor doesn't just spin the turbine is for the reasons you explained- it would take too much power. But the water compensates for it, hense why a hydracharger would use less current.
  24. ^^agreed. I think you should have to take a "Z history test" in order to get a 350. Or at least $1000 cash back
  25. Ok, I understand the Bush statement, but Clinton?? Clinton makes Bush look like a fundamental capitolism fashist.
