Restored quarter vent badges
Jeez Lach! Attention to detail! Well done, are these NOS or just new items bought off ebay/yahoojp? Or the originals restored? In any case, great job!

Sign of the times
I wonder where sims is located. A friend of mine stripped a 240k sedan some time ago, pretty much cleaned the whole thing out. Anyway, he had no use for an empty chassis after that so it was picked up by a supposed 'metal recycler.' Given the scant c110 situation in WA i wouldnt be surprised if it was his. A sad tale in any case. :disappoin I think i mentioned it to you at the meet the other week craig, but ive heard many similar tales from the many different wreckers in perth ive visited in search of parts. Most just claim that 'no-one was interested in parts for these cars,' and so, after five years of sitting around, they get sent to the crusher...

FS: '74 240K coupe (Vic).
Hey Lach, with the new sig (which is great i might add), is it a picture of the rear panel of your own car, or (as i imagine), a modified pictur efrom your own personal collection. In any case, that rear panel appears to be quite unique, due to the level of chrome and also the metal surrounds the lenses protrude from. Explanations? For some reason im thinking its a modified c210 rear panel....hrm more research is needed....

RB25 240z - Australia
Great car, hope to hear more about it as it progresses. Just a quick question though. Why didnt you do the bodywork (namely the engine bay) before dropping the rb25 in it? It just seems logical given that the car is in need of some restoration. Cheers, Tom

NEW GTR debut at the Tokyo Motor Show
For me, its definitely an improvement on the previous GTR prototype displayed at tokyo - that looked far too similar the the 350z. Couldnt say this is the ideal design, however

New Radiator
Aha!, That about the same as what ive been getting. The best was about $310 fitted and all, so that would seem like the goer - 1 year warranty too. Thanks heaps for your advice, hopefully its a clam, easy experience, i really dont want to tear my hair out over it. Regards, Tom

New Radiator
Ah i see! Im just about to start ringing around again, however, i simply dont have the time this week to unbolt the radiator myself, its getting into that crunch period at uni and i REALLY need the car - the woes of a daily driver ! So, in all, some of the prices ive got arent THAT bad, i just need some really really good ones! Ill try to make sure the guys i get doing it arent idiots... Thanks for the advice Mark, but as Craig mentioned, i live in australia and the car isnt a Z. Looks like a pretty sweet setup nonetheless. Cheers, Tom

New Radiator
Hey thats a damn good deal by the sound of things. The best quote ive got so far is $261 to recore it. That doesnt include fitting and flushing the block, for that its an additional $60. Hrm What was the deal with your job? Did they do all that and replace hoses and fittings? Or was that something you did yourself? Thanks, Tom

New Radiator
Hey, Well it looks like i may be in the market for a new radiator soon. I arrived home today, only to step out of the car and realise the radiator was dribbling coolant! It seems to have stopped now, but certainly it could be a problem. I know recently Lachlan had to replace/repair his radiator. What did you end up with lach, and how much did it cost? Performance of said radiator? I was interested to know of the best radiator repair/recondition/replace establishments in perth? Does anyone have any reccomendations. And do aluminum radiators cost a whole lot more than standard (steel?) ones - are they worth it? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Cheers, Tom

240K Sedan for sale
Hmm not bad but 7k.......? Too much in my opinion, even if it is a granny driver, the car+spare and parts just isnt worth it. Maybe 5k...if hes lucky... :beard: Perhaps theres some really tasty spares or something, maybe the 260c is the parts car? It sure doesnt say it though... :pirate:

FS: '74 240K coupe (Vic).
Gah! What a debacle!! Why is he selling? :beard: James buy it back.....Whoever is interested the spare parts that come with the car are worth the asking price alone....!!

V8 Convertible
Sounds great, if a little sacreligious but what the hell ! I reckon itll blow the doors off pretty much anything else also. As for using a WRX diff, theres no point, to my knowledge, as WRX's use a derivative of the same diff in the stock 240k. You'd be better off using an R200 out of a 300zx turbo. However, im sure there's a few other members here with a bit more knowledge who'll pipe ups soon. More pics please! Cheers, Tom

Hey, Attempted to post this in an already established thread but it was really quite ineffective. For anyone thats interested, im selling most of my 240k bits and pieces, the stuff ive got lying around which i have no purpose for. These bits include the standard cam in excellent condition, the stadard carby and air cleaner in working condition, standard dizzy with new points, and a coupe rear light panel with lights. All offers welcome. Cheers, Tom
