  2. Alan I understand your frustration regarding A Goertz the Nazi :classic: . Maybe I shouldn't say that no offence intended. You have to understand the makers of the programme are probably not true enthusiasts and have a set time of which they spend doing research. Because the history of this car deals alot with Japan it can make finding out the "Truth" very hard. If it were not for people like you I myself would still believe the Goertz myth. Yes it's misinforming and people like Matsuo are unfortunately not credited for a good job done. If the books out there say Goertz designed the car then most likely these journalists are gonna believe it and repeat that information. Anyway that's just my 2 cents from my research on the Z myself. Is there anywhere or any books I could get a hold of that would tell a more accurate history of the Z. Ive been to the technical bookshop in my city central and found a good book on the Z shame I didn't buy it. Forgot what it was called but remember it was a blue book. Gav
  3. http://www.geocities.com/zgarage2001/z.html One website many questions answered. It's all about diff ratio's gearbox ratio's , cam degree's, electronic ignition. I would like to build a well worked L28 for my Z. I currenly have a L28(F54) with E88 Head 10:1 compression ratio. It's running Dual SU's. Extractors, Larger Cam(Not big enough). Bigger ZX valves. If anything the SU's will go. Tripple Webbers are the way to go for me. I like SU's but they just can't breathe enough. The cam will be changed for a bigger item and plenty of engine head work in future to get it to flow nicer. I completely agree turbo's are like changing the entire engine, engine swaps will ruin the originality. Nothing like hearing a worked L engine scream. I suggest buying the book How To Modify and Race Your L engine. Should find it on Ebay, Amazon etc... Besides Turbo's are high maintenance and Naturally aspired L engine will go forever. :classic: .
  4. I rarely watch tv anymore and spam mail drives me nuts sometimes you feel like sending abusive email back but then I think reasonably and realise ummm nobody would even listen. Nothing safe MSN now has random people telling me that I can see Stephanie do her thing at yayaya.com. You can try blocking it but there's always that one that get's through. To pass the time I play online game(Big time waster). Hang around this forum trying to learn as much as possible about cars, reply to posts, upload photo's you get the idea. I think what you guys say is right there is that off button on the TV. PS: 2 Many I agree they must be on some form of weird drugs.

Grab a 240z they have sexy look there simple mechanically, the dashboard is probably one of the best designs of all time. The girls do love them especially in red . Yes if you buy a car and fix it yourself you will be less silly with it than those spoilt rich kids who race around with MILO tin exhausts. Insurance with either car will probably be more or less the same and gotta love being able to do an oil filter change in 20 seconds. I used to own a Front WHeel Drive corollla what a nightmare that was to work on. The oil fiter was hidden under the extractors I don't know how someone with bigger hands than me could possible squeeze in there and remove it. It's all about the fun factor, I see plenty of fast cars on the road but I bet there no half as fun to drive. My friend had a VL Commodore which for those that don't know has the RB30T engine in it. That thing was fast but it had poor handling ugly looks and was problematic. The Z is the best thing since sliced bread for me .
  6. Know what you mean there's a few Panda's in my street I'd like to sort out. Pretty sure one of them vandalised my car too .
