little video of my z
I'm young also 21 infact, i just don't like heavy heavy music i can tolerate Powerman 5000 but i wouldn't be suprised if other people couldn't handle it. I really like Audioslave at the moment, but I'll try not to hijack this thread

little video of my z
I think it's the same car, doesn't it have an RB26 Stony? :cheeky: BTW ED the song is by Powerman5000 and it's called when worlds collide, it's ok bit heavy for me but.

next time i see him i'll try make sure i do u have to see it up close it's a bit strange but I think you'd get used to it. Darius' 240z has a silver back light panel and black paint and i think it looks good.

Water leak at no. 6
hmm strange what does a compression test show? Have you checked your spark plugs for water getting into combustion chamber? Your theory that it may require retorquing is a good one especially after a rebuild. Whats your radiators condition or the hoses attached? How about your heater radiator there is a tap inside the car that is prone to leaking also might be something to check. I almost pulled the head on my car recently to find the cause of all my problems was a dizzy module.(note your car will not have this BTW if your using points). So before you go pulling it apart check the other possiblities. Try running the car a bit hotter maybe the metal only expands enough to allow it to leak at higher temps have you been watching your water guage lately? Have you also checked your oil for water?

Why Nissan Fairlady Z
I remember the 280zx was named Import car of the year by road and track if I remember correctly it was in their add campaign are you referring to a 280z or 280zx?

280Z idiosyncrasies?
The module is very expensive, best thing to do would be go to pick and pull yard and pull a few and ones bound to be ok. That will give you an idea if it improves your car. Just be very careful when putting the wires on again or you could blow the module. I have no idea if this is causing some headaches or not it's just a guess. It could be any number of possibilities. If it is the module it will eventually fail and the car won't work. I know mine was sensative to cold weather.

I nearly hit the floor with that one . What is it with Silver Z's? Mine was once silver now red. It just seems everyone goes from Silver to something else. I really like my friends Silver 240z he did the rear light panel in chrome looks interesting indeed.

280Z idiosyncrasies?
I think we all agree nothing is ever gonna be trouble free and if your 280z is playing up it's most likely a jimmy rigging problem from a PO. My 240z has been on the money since I got it over a year ago and daily driving, except for the dizzy module the only electronic upgrade on the car mind you. My car has been well looked after that's why i bought it only a few repairs really annoy me, the centre console was repaired with a sheet of steel where it had cracked(not so bad but visible from the top). The rear left hand 1/4 was replaced with a earlier 70-71 series I 1/4 panel so no hole behind the badge . If that's all I really have to worry about then I guess I'm lucky, Oh what i'm most happy about is the lack of butchering done to the wiring loom yippie.
