I would recommend MIG as well. TIG can get expensive but it does produce better quality welds on thinner material. Let your wallet be your guide. If you have an opportunity to take welding classes at the local community college they are well worth it. Hands on training!! Much luck, Chris

I'm still looking for a small MIG or TIG for home. But at my shop I have some nice toys. LTEC Migmaster 250 with ST-23 Aluminum Mig Torch Miller 250 Twin Buzzbox Hypertherm Powermax 1100 Plasma Cutter I really want something for the home garage so I dont have to travel to the shop to weld. But its only 10 miles so its not too bad. Chris

I'll check my stuff this weekend. Seems like I had some of both from several salvage yard raids back in the 80's. Chris

Do you know about the MSA rear speaker panel that will hold 6 x 9's? Then you wouldnt have to butcher the doors, just remove the tail light inner panel and replace with the MSA piece. http://www.zcarparts.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=SP Chris
  17. Good advice Victor. I have one 20 ABC and it's next to the work bench and is close to the front of the cars as parked in the garage. Wouldnt be a bad idea to have another close to the garage door as I'm sometimes working out on the slab. Chris

Ebay auction aside, I'd like to know more about both cars. Specs, mods, etc. They look good. Chris
  19. Here's a quote from a website devoted to Halon. http://www.h3r.com/index.htm "The only fire extinguishers that won't choke you and won't damage your aircraft are the liquid Halon extinguishers. They are more expensive than dry chemicals, costing about $100 for a 2-1/2 pound dry chemical extinguisher, but the results are worth the difference in price. Halon works to extinguish fires by using a liquid that turns to gas when it is sprayed into a fire. The gas displaces oxygen to rob the fire of oxygen and cause it to go out. If you spray Halon into the air, it disappears almost as soon as it is sprayed, but is highly effective in closed areas." Chris

Hi Brandy, if I may make a suggestion, get yourself a dentist's pick. Then you can remove the terminal and wire completely from your old harness connector and swap in the wire/terminal assy from your new harness. The terminals have a little tang that if depressed with the pick will allow you to remove them from there respective connectors. I have done this many times. It takes some patience but its better than cutting and splicing. FWIW, Chris
