240Z in movies
I searched this thread for a match for "Lords of Dogtown" and didnt find one. So anyway in this movie when the three main characters are skateboarding down the street between cars stopped at a light, they whiz past an S30 Z car. I paused on the frame but couldnt quite make out exactly which model it was. FWIW, Chris

Bambi would've liked this one.
Then a reporter asks Bush, "So what is your official position on Roe versus Wade?". The President stands quiet for a moment and responds..."Well them folks had to get out of New Orleans one way or the other".

Based on this persons new thread today and the mention of $35,000, I'd say that it will not go to anyone. Chris

Acetone in your gas!!!
Okay, I bit on this just for the heck of it. Went to the link and read the article. It all sounded pretty good till I read this line..... "For instance, a SMOOTH flow of air into a carburetor or injector is far better for mileage than turbulent air. Turbulence is bad." Ummm.....I don't know too much about injection but I don't think air flows through injectors. I'm now questioning the author of the article. FWIW, Chris

Had one of these once, burnt tip on rotor made it smoke like a mosquito fogger. Fun little car. Gave it up after a couple months. Drove my parents crazy with the sound.

This is why I speed!
I dont think anybody is going to convince cremmenga not to speed. I wish the moderator would kill this thread. Its a waste. The bottom line is this, IF you ever really get this car built (which I doubt ever happens), THEN you go out and splatter yourself all over Buffalo County, NO ONE here will really miss you. Personally I think you're head is full of milo. And I invite you to come to Lincoln with your badass Z car and prove to me that you're not all talk. I'll even take pictures and put them up on this site for you with a big sign saying I was wrong. Chris Abbott Lincoln

OT: Vintage Land Rover sighting
Thanks for the pics Ben, I think most car enthusiasts wont mind the thread. My Dad used to have a 1951 Willys step side pickup with a 327 V8 conversion. That was a unique vehicle. Chris

New CBS show will feature a '70 Z
I thought the car looked and sounded great. Someone has got to find out who's car it was. Kudo's to them. When the guy opens the passenger door to let her get in, I noticed the dash had no cracks. Could have been capped but it still looked good. And there was a shot of the passenger side and all the stainless trim around the door and quarter window looked great as well. Aside from the car being in the rain, it appeared to be a fine example. I liked the short dialogue about the engine and carbs when the two first met and he had the hood open for her to look at. An engine shot would have been great at that point but I realize it wasnt about car development but character development. Hooray for the Z! Now we need a show where the main character is a good person and drives a Z regularly on camera. Wishfull thinking! Chris
