  1. Well technically it was a "classic and unique" Japanese car event... I think they weren't really sure how many entrants they'd get, so they opened it up to a wider spectrum of cars. I think next year it'll probably be slimmed down to classic only. It would certainly clear up some confusion as to who is eligible...
  2. If the 350Z looked like the original prototype, I doubt it would have sold as well as it has. It's pretty ugly really, and looked dated even when it came out. Fact is the Z has always changed direction in terms of design and target market. Other than the 280ZX, what Z does look like the original S30? To me, the car quietly nods at its predecessors, as well as being an entirely modern design. I'd love to see a retro-designed Z, but Nissan is a business, and in that respect, they got it absolutely spot on.
  3. Hi David - no worries - I believe the Century was only sold in Japan. There are a few getting around here now though as grey imports. Amazing car. Really really cool. Victor, I'm glad you like them. I don't know about the blue Roadster... but gee there were a lot of Roadsters in attendance!!! For Australia, anyway. The Mazda Carol has been maticulously restored and is a true classic - the Japanese love them apparently.
  4. On October 1st the first Japanese Classic Car Show was held in North Brisbane, Queensland. It was a great turnout for the first event, especially since the organisers only really began a couple of months ago. Here are my pictures for the day. http://storm.elxx.net/alfadog/qldjcs/index.html

  10. Nice work Eric! Pity we don't get that one down here (I think). Any chance of a "peek"?

Hello Zedric, I've seen probably 4-7 sedans on the road, and only about 2 or 3 Hardtops. I know of about 20 cars in Aus that I have not seen too. But most are sedan. There are still quite a few in Australia as there were a lot made in the first place. More sedans than hardtops for sure. Mustadd, are you saying you actually know where the original Bathurst-raced car is???

I think I just used hot soapy water... be careful though as the metal is thin and can warp in the heat... If there's another (better) way I'd love to know.
  14. uh-oh, looks like someone picked it up when expired... There are people who pick up domain names within minutes of them expiring - that's what they do. Often can sell them back to businesses at a big price.

Ooh I can't wait to see that Alan. Thank you for the encouragement - I've got my next report already lined up Jason Quigg from the Prince Register also got en email which is a good sign, and tells me he's going to Japan next year so who knows what could happen. I'd love to see some of the guys' Princes in the magazine though, many are in truly amazing condition.
