Any other way of measuring the temp correctly?

How else can i verify the current temp? Will i need to adapt or customize an external temp gauge?

Im the one setting the fuel jets to 3.5 turns clockwise. Not wasting more money or time with camaro or porsche mechanics. I even asked the camaro mechanic to reimburse the usd300 i paid him for labour. I did the ground test on the stock gauge and the needle moved to the right so it should be fine. Do you want me to do the choke test when stuck in traffic?

Just came back from some light traffic. Still at 3/4 on the temp gauge but no bubbles in the clear fuel filter. Took the plugs out and see everything normal. Maybe a 4 row radiator could help. Do you concur?

After reading the same problem with other users im beginning to accept this could be vapor lock as it only happens during heavy traffic and disappears once the temp goes down. Would a 4 row radiator kill this problem or should i get a ceramic manifold?

I dont have an Air Fuel Ratio sensor. Its a pitty i cant give you this measurement. Should i purchase one at amazon or temu?

At idle when temp reaches 3/4 it starts decreasing from 900 to 700 rpm. Up and down. One this is idling in my garage another thing is stop and go traffic with ac on for 15 to 20 mins under the sun.

Thats not a reasonable alternative. I need to tackle this heat related traffic issue ASAP. Mechanic and i tested the car today and definitely we need to have better spark and move more air to avoid stumbling. Any recommendations on better spark plug cables for pertronix ignitor module with msd blaster 2 coil other than my old ngk blue cables? Taylor?? The problem is clearly at idle during traffic.

The problem was always there with far 311 cam which is still have in my deposit and with all the parts that i mentioned. Camaro mechanic argued that with the MSD blaster 2 coil car could run better. We need to track this with the car at idle.

Just to add to this car has no Far 311 Cam now. It was replaced in 2014 with a Schneider 274F cam incluiding new retainer springs and full kit. Current ignition coil is an MSD in combination with petronix ignitor 1761 module. So no points.

This has nothing to do. Rpm falls to 500 ramdonly once the temp reaches 3/4 of the gauge. Id like to know if this is due to something inside the engine or the MSD ignition coil or else?? Unfortunately 70 years old Camaro expert mechanic quit helping me and offered to return money paid for not solving this issue. Are we ready to open the engine?

I had to readjust the front carb float to 12mm as it was spilling fuel. Testing the car today.

Jajaja which mechanical gauge and where should it be fastened?

New sensor and still at 3/4 as shown. I guess its time to purchase a heat gun so i can point it directly at the engine and determine the real temp. If gauge is good and sensor was replaced what next?
