Poll: Should we prevent gallery downloads?
I could give a flyin' fudge if anyone wants to download my car. I've posted pics on a public forum so my rights went out the door IMO. I really can't believe it's come down to this. Nothing is more pleasing to the eye then a picture of a beautiful Z. Come on people, upload your Z's so we can all enjoy the car! Vicky

cleaning k and n's
I would think you would use a high pressure air hose to get dirt particles out. Can they be cleaned with a liquid? Vicky

Ford's newest addition
Watched an episode of "Rides" last weekend about the Lambo Mercialago (spelling?) Roadster. From the very design of the car to the test drive. What a machine. The engine alone was $85,000!!!!! A little section of the front air dam clip was $14,000!!! Can you imagine having the job of test driver for Lamborghini. Vicky

4 barrel carb adapter
Is this a supercharger for 1st gen Z's? I read discussions here where someone had come up with a SC for the Z but it was never put in the car and actually proven. (I'm trying to convince my husband to supercharge the 77 if a proven product is available) Vicky

just curious
If the car came with A/C from the factory, then wouldn't the controls be under the main vent along with the heater controls like on the 280Z's? I'm sure someone here could elaborate on this further. Man, the more I look at that car, the more I like it. The interior kind of grows on you. Absolutely beautiful Vicky

That's a beautiful Z. I don't really care for a brown car but that one is very nice. Seems to be well preserved. Vicky

2007 Z car convention in the USA?
Believe I saw somewhere that it was going to be in Dallas area but I'm really not sure. When, I don't know. They normally make the anouncement at the current ZCCA convention. When we attended the 2003 convention in New Hampshire, it was mentioned that Southern California would hold the 2004 event and a meeting was held at the New Hamshire event to pick Rochester NY as host for the 2005 meet. Maybe someone who attended the 2004 event could supply a little more accurate info. Vicky

2007 Z car convention in the USA?
The 2005 convention is in upstate New York, the 2006 is in Texas I believe. I hope the 2007 convention is in Florida, during non-hurricane season of course Vicky

difference between FWD and RWD
Didn't alot of the US automakers start using the FWD in the 80's? My husband had an 85 (?) Olds Frienza "The Beater" that was FWD. I always though they did this to economize the cars. The engine was sideways, no drive shaft so no loss of power (what power) to the front wheels. Are todays FWD cars simular to this set up? Vicky

Go Veggie
That car is "Far Out Man". The paint has a picture of the world surrounded by daisey peddles and then Flames. The guy must have dropped acid before he painted it. Vicky

4,900 original miles
I hope somebody does spend that amount of money for the car. Every time a classic Z sells for an outlandish amount, insurance companys, car collectors and appraisers take notice. This is how Hagertys determines the value of some "other" classics. The more someone can get for their car, the better we all are as it tends to increase the value of our Z's. Pricey yes, but I like to see Z's going (or at least trying) to sell for that amount. Vicky

can you spot the "mistake"???
Yeah xray, what is the mistake(s) that you are getting at? Vicky

Ripped off?
What about some type of "Photo Encryption"? Do they even make software that does this? Vicky

can you spot the "mistake"???
The "hold down" brackets look funky. My 72 has them up underneath the car. The ones on the back are on the body/bumber(?). I know alot of dealers removed them once the car was put on the lot. The ones on the back are what really stump me. They look like cheap hooks. Vicky

N.A.D.A. (Zed's value)
Wonder why the HIGH value of the 71 & 72 is more than the 70. I always thought that the 70 was considered the true classic (so far) amongst the 240Z's. NADA is not the guide that true car collectors go by in determining the value of a collectable vehicle anyway. There is this book that a friend had that showed a cars value by whether it was a #1 #2 #3 and so on. Does anyone remember the name of this book? Vicky

Long Term Parking Brake Use
While my husband gets his joys out of his 77 280Z the 72 240Z has been sitting for quite a while. It's parked in neutral with the e-brake on. Now when I go to move the car it tends to hesitate after releasing the e-brake. Do you think it's best to leave the car parked in neutral with the e-brake off and just put something behind/front of the tires. Also, is it true that it's not a good idea to leave any car in gear when it's parked for a while? Heard this can stress the tranny. Opinions, suggestions, comments. Vicky

RB30-ZED's sweet ride #3
What a great photo! Beautiful red Z against a lush green landscape. That photo should be framed and hanging in your living room. Looks like an ad for Datsun. Fantastic

Random Q: what's hotter leather or vinyl?
I would think that vinyl would be hotter. Leather is more porous and would allow for air circulation within the material. Vicky

What I did Labor day weekend.
This Labor Day weekend I prayed I wouldn't lose my house, my life or my Zed's. Never lost any power but it was like being in a coffin with all the windows boarded up. Funny, just the previous weekend we were at a car show under beautiful sunny skys and I got fried from the sun. Anybody in southern Arizona want to trade houses? Vicky

Charley's Comming
We haven't lost power at all. The wind has been about 35 to 45 mph with a few gusts at maybe 60 mph. Raining all day also. Few minor twigs down from the trees. I hear ya there seerex on Ivan. He's suppose to be getting near Fla by next weekend or so. I believe hurricane season runs until November 30th  Who's all ready to move to Arizona............I know I am. Be safe Florida members Vicky
