the 750 is very reasonable for rikens in 16 inch , without tires , they were not made by enkei but close to the western wheel mesh design , the enkei 32 series which had a flat iside around the lugs was similar , there are a few styles from the mid 80's to late 90s like that but hard to find , to give you an example the ssr reverse mesh wheel in 16 or 17 which is similar is 585-665 roughly per wheel , another maker was epsilion , very similar in style and made in the 4 on 4.5 in a 16 rim:disappoin
  2. would never put hyundai with the likes of honda toyota or nissan , i am sure they are getting better , but in my opion no matter how much you polish a turd its still a turd , i have seen other articles which aren't the same but i am sure they all use diffrent formulas , gotta say if the tiburon was made by someone else i might buy one ,

We all feel your pain I am sure but , its rare to find one without some issues , either you get one where the guy put all the money in fixing all the 30 year old car probs and you get better end but pay for it in the price and yet still wonder if they are done right or kinda pay as you go . I would recommend replacing your fuse box asap, alot of the wiring issues are from the build up of corrostion on the contacts there in raising the resisitance and causing those issues. But I doubt you would find another euro car as nice as your or maybe ever . I would take comfort knowing the thing you have done hopefully won't have to be fixed in hopefully another 30 years or such . Glad to see you decided to see a Z shrink before leaving her . Stick with her I regretably did what you were considering and wish I hadn't . Enjoy the ride

if you search the threads for storage or sitting , you will find numerous list of things to check before you turn the key but , right off start with checking fuels , oil , gas , water and check the cylinders to make sure they do not have any sign of rust if any water got in it would be a big prob , but there are lots of threads about bringing cars back after sitting for several years , I would first drain the gas tank :classic: , just to be sure

  22. congrats on the purchase, I think someone else mentioned make a to do list for it basics first and then get a complete manual for the car, most every question can be answered here in the threads , the shifter is bushings by the way , with your todo list make a list to buy , then watch ebay and junkyard to find the goodies, good luck

like the ideal Rob , I am sure it would help any potiential buy of any Z , love to see a checklist so to speak , and pics of things we know would be suspect < floor pans> and what they should look like and just basic info , its all here on the site just in diffrent threads , I am willing to donate a pic of my pans to show what not to buy , but agree with most all on its buyer beware and if a person does not research their purchase before putting out their money that their own loss , I think if you expect the worse and hope for the best that all you can expect from ebay

if the car hasn't been moved from where you started it in the driveway and you washed it , assuming you have the vented hood on your 280z dare I say give it a bit to dry and try again , you might have an exposed wires or connection , check the dizzy and make sure it is clean and dry , good luck
