280zx Fever

Aslo i have noticed i have no exterior badging crome bumpers and electic mirrors on the front fenders which have moved too the doors but the wiring is there Its also a Fairlady Sports model... So i would take it i have the S130 L28 instead on the S30 L28 in the 280z ? Just because the newer one is down in compression from 8.8:1 too 8.3:1

i got two pics in my gallery i brought the car damaged for $50 and i go the whole car heheh engine alone is probably worth $600-700 as its had a recent rebuild id say.

So what you done to the engine ? Just whack a bigger turbo on it ? Because thats damn fast

Ok, i found the prefix it was at the end on the engine on the firewall just in the pic as HS30-H attached. So its a HGS130 - 000713 and id take it that it was the 713th one to roll of the production line I suspose there is nothing special about this model ?

the zed01 is against a valliant i think ...(?) zed02 is against a for falcon ute and how much hp is that L28 Turbo pushing ? cuz thats some quick arse runs !

Ok if its stem seals try this Let it idle warm for 2-3minutes no accelrator. then put your foot flat to the floor if its the stem seal it will smoke like a mofo

no what i mean thats the only number on the firewall ! considering as all fairlady's are imports (?) it could of been imported as a write off (no compliance plate) and never licenced that would explain why they never sent me the rego papers.. the plate wouldnt be anywhere else ? or could it ?

no thats not my car in the avatar Mine has the crome bumpers... But i never found any Fairlady 1979 Z's at all in all my search on the net ill get the vin number ok i got it this is strange no complicance plate or anything only this plate thats above the battery on the left hand side the number is: 000713 then the block number on the block..

Ok i got a question for you guys while you are on Model identification I got a Fairlady 280z ! (Z not ZX) that has the 280zx body L28 EFI. So its virtually a 280zx, though they where never called a 280z fairlady ? my car is very very jspec so what is it ? a 280z Fairlady or a 280zx Fairlady ? it is a 1979. I was talking to a mate who knows a fair bit about the Z's he said it could be a Pre Production 280zx the old engine from the 280z but with the newer body 280zx ? thanks.

4cyl have two.. 1-3-4-2 2-4-3-1 because the nissans like to have there dizzy rotating the wrong way thanks for the help guys !

I could have my leads around the wrong way whats the firing order for the L28 its a Fairlady Z 1979 Model.

the rb25det box is the same as the rb26dett just no transfer case

dumb question yep but i dont know the firing order i wrote down as they where when i took them off so id assume they where correct... 1-6-2-5-3-4 ? does that sound right ?

i did that test with a LED and all the injector wire's pulse..

Can you see if its straight ? and complete besides the suspension ? windows ? could you ask how much ?

Cuong, there is one for sale in Australind for $55 Nissan 260z Carbody with Sunroof $55 Australind. after 5pm 9725-2337 that was in thursdays quokka if its still there its pretty cheap. I got a mate to look at it for myself but it wasnt what im after Interior is there but not the best no speedo or any other guages no gearbox diff or motor head lights rear lights or anything under the bonnet..so its bassically a shell.

the 280zx is just as much of a Zed as the 240z-260z-280z
