  7. I use this series Facet pump on my tripples. http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecId=86 It is the same style and physical size as the Datsun OEM pump. It bolts right up to the factory bracket. You will have to go to the hardware store and buy two 90 degree brass fittings and teflon pipe tape for the inlet and outlet. Get some rubber grommets or washers to put between the pump and factory bracket for vibration. Another good idea is to take some automotive interior sound deading material with the silver layer and wrap around pump. I have run mine on the track and has held up very well for my L28. Note. I have since found that you can buy the same pump cheaper thru Spruce Aircraft Supply.
  8. You need to use the metric machine screws to attach the dust shield. I am positive they were machine screws as I removed my shields for heat dissapation some time back. If you use bolts, I think you will have the problem you describe.

Hey Mark, I had a spare minilite from the 70's like you wanted. I emailed you about 2 years ago when I saw you wanted one on another site. Never heard back so maybe you did not see. I ended up selling to a fellow member here. If I see another I will try to let you know again. I also will be selling the set that is on my car now. I want to go to a 15" wheel.

I had the same problem with the county I live in. And I no longer have the SU's to put back on the engine. Instead I registered my car as being kept in a nearby county that does not require smog tests. Only certain parts of my State require smog checks.

Have to agree with Victor. The A509 was the stickiest street tire I ever had. I just sold a pair on EBay because I could not find 2 more. Tread rating of 140.You could drive them as hard as you could and they made no noise at all!

Get a buzzer would only have 2 wires, positive and negative. Run the positive wire of the buzzer to a wire on the headlight switch that has voltage present only with the headlights on and the negative wire of the buzzer to a wire on the ignition switch that is grounded only when the ignition is off. That way, headlights on/ignition on yields no incessant buzzing noise, and lights on/ignition off rewards you with the annoyance you want! .02 worth.
  13. I am shocked by the news. I just sent Carl a joke by email about a week ago I think. We used to forward jokes to each other. Especially the dirty ones. He particularly like those. . Sold him a set of Mulholland springs. Don't know if he ever got them installed. I know he liked cats too. I also had to put my 14 yr old cat to sleep 2 years ago. That was rough. Oddly it is exactly one year ago today that another friend died while riding his Harley to an annual HOG fest here in Wisconsin. I will miss your bad jokes Carl. We had fun. Paul Newman said about his fellow Datsun racer Jim Fitzjerold when he was killed. Where ever Jim is I know he must have a hellova ride! Same goes for Carl.
