All right you lot, let's have you.
Man, this thread is hilarious, what with people fussing over who will post their pic first, the age old "I'll show you mine if you show me yours." saga along with Lachlan dodging pic posting from the threads conception. I had only read the first few pages of this and then a few of the later and tonight I went back and read the whole lot, it was definately worth the effort. Lachlan, I only look a bit like a girl, what's it like to "feel" like a girl?

I am now Z less
Dude, that's horrible, I know exactly how you feel I once left work to find the lack thereof of my Pride and Joy (a 1992 Honda MC21 NSR250R), the cops found it a week or two later with the Ign. Barrel busted parked up on the side of the road about 800m from where I worked. When I read what had happened the tremblings and feelings that I felt came straight back, I hope you get it back at the very least and at the very most, I hope they let you have a few moments with the theives.

Carb for 240K coupe
I had/have the same problem you guys are experiencing with your K's with my VK after I put on a 350CFM 2BBL Holley however, I never had a problem launching :devious: I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it bugs you alot, you'll get used to it, it's an L6 afterall if you're worried about initial pickup you should be able to ease the clutch out with no acceleration and get going easily enough, and if you really wanted to launch you'd want to be in a higher RPM range anyway which would put you in the stickey section which is acutally (on the VK anyway) quite easy to maintain a stable rev. I'm guessing it's a cable throttle/pivot point problem.

280zx series 2 rims
This probably isnt exactly what you're after but I think it looks kinda good in a Bond car kind of way LOL Obviously the Gold you're after would be a lot more of a matt than intense glossy shiney like this. Changing colors can be a bit of a mission it's one think to darken down a silver to black but to turn a red into a gold is another, I'll keep playing at it, I've got nothing better to do. :classic:

James, I've attched a new picture, perhaps it is more to your liking. The magic that allows me to do such things as this is, being an unemployed nerd an unemployed artsie nerd :beard: too much time on my hands and a copy of Adobe Photoshop. Original Picture Courtesy of DatsunZGuy

Watanabe Price Opinions
Lachlan, I'm sure you checked it out and everything but I was thinking about you 14x9's and was wondering whether you read the RS-Watanabe fitment guide on their website. It says the "Conformity Maximum" which I believe means, the biggest you _should_ go is as follows; F: R 15-80 ±0 R: R 15-85 -6 F: R 16-80 ±0 R: R 16-85 -6 And they note the "Suitable option" which I'm guessing means "Recommended sizing" as; F: R 14-80 -6 R:R14-85 -13 Did you get to see the wheels you bought pictured on a car or did you do some hardcore checking to see whether they'd fit? Obviously a 9" is only .5 bigger than what they recommend (If i figured out the translation properly) so you'd think it'd still be a go. I certainly hope it is cause 9's would look FREAKIN COOL!

Yeah manual is defiantely the first step in ANY upgrade, I'm still waiting on all the bits and pieces and then I have to try and sell the box I got so I can buy the proper length one. Which from a wreckers will cost me $500NZD. But I'm still looking around. You'll just have to remember not to actually take anyone on should you get the urge driving in your replica KPGC110 2000GT-R. Performance Wheels An Aussie company. I was considering a set of 15x7 Super-lites but when they change to 15's from 14's the also change from 8spoke to 10spoke and I much prefer the 8's

For those Interested in 1/10 RC Cars
I found this website in my search for KPGC110 things and thought people here may be keen on a few of the shells. Ace Hobby (Japan) You could always enter through their main page but the English version is still under construction so you'll have to go through their Japanese version using Babelfish or equivalent for those who can't read Japanese, like me. :classic:

Watanabe Price Opinions
Hey there Alan, I was hoping you might offer some advice, the wheels are indeed that price for the four, they also are either being freighted from just a little further up country from me (roughly 2-300km) or are possibly being delivered as the V8 National Series is in my home town this weekend and the seller may be coming down for that. I was definately a bit worried about the offset but I guess we'll have to see when I get them, it would be kind of disappointing should they arrive and then not be able to be used. As for those exhange rate quotes, I used the Yahoo Currency Converter website, I guess that must be a bit out of whack then perhaps? However, the price I'm paying is $180NZD as they are in NZ not being imported or anything. I'll be sure to let people know both ways once I get them, as to whether they don't fit or they do. Thanks for your input Alan, it's muchly appreciated. -Michael

Sorry, there's been a mistake. The rims are actually going to cost me $180 and not $200, so I'll have to amend those other currencies. ¥13000 JPY $157 AUD £66 GBP $122 USD €95 EUR :classic:

Watanabe Price Opinions
I am trying to get them but it's a bit up in the air at the moment, I'll let you guys know whether it goes through. Any idea on whether 205's fit on 6" rims? Because I'll be putting the Watanabe's on the 240K and then my brother will be getting the 15x7's that are on their now for his Supra which is currently wearing a set of 205/60/14's which would go onto the Watanabe's IF they fit.

Watanabe Price Opinions
If I could get a set of 14x6 Watanabe's for around the $200NZD mark, should I grab the bull by the horns so to speak, this would be before freight (in NZ though so shouldn't be tooooo much). Obviously the 6's are probably a smidge too small but I can always get bigger ones later right? Oh and would a 205 fit snuggly on a 6" rim or would it be pushing it? BTW; $200NZD = ¥14500 JPY $175 AUD £73 GBP $136 USD €106 EUR Any thoughts and views appreciated. :classic:

81" 280zx tURBO intake removal
I recently tried to remove the Int/Exh Manifolds from a FI Skyline head and it proved frustrating to say the least, in the end I took the entire head off and that made it easier but the nuts were still a right bastard to get to. You might be able to weasle an open ended spanner in underneath and turn the bolts a ¼ turn at a time. You could try a ring spanner, but I didn't have one with a thin enough ring on it and thus it wouldn't fit over the nut. If you like I can go and take a picture of whereabouts they sit if it makes it any easier for you.

Original 1972 Print 240KGT Sales Brochure
Yeah, I was thinking of doing that but because it's so glossy and the digital camera I use isn't the best for close things, the pictures probably wont turn out the best, I'll give it a go later on anyway.

Front of the Original Sales Brochure for the 240KGT, I haven't scanned the few central pages as I dont want to screw with the brochure too much by flattening the spine section.
