240SX, Maxima, or 280ZX
15/16 Master cylinder...would that have anything to do with brake pressure to front/ back. Will the 280ZX master cylinder fit my '72 240Z firewall? :surprised

What is the better caliper for rear disc conversions? Which is the cheapest? Also, what pads and hardware are needed? Thanks

L28 fuelinjected motor
I would like to buy a complete 1983 L28 fuelinjected motor. If it needs parts, that is fine. Atleast all EFI components, Throttlebody, ECU, Harness, Tranny optional. Turbo a plus! Please PM me or send an e-mail to brian.kisely@hurlburt.af.mil Thank you

When does your fuel pump start?
My car did not run when I got her. I had a friend help me with installing a new electric pump and run wires to a carbon fiber guarded switch. It is wired to my fuse box via a hot lead when the car is in the ON possition. Two ways of safety. I can cut the pump off manually in an emergency, and normally by shutting the car off. my 2 cents

RB25dett swap....
Single turbo. :stupid: I just need a little info, or something. Atleast where to look it up at. I did a search for it and it gave me squat. Thanks for reading the thread, looks like it wont last long.

RB25dett swap....
I know everyone is doing the RB26 swap, but I am about to get a RB25 motor dropped into my lap for practically nothing. Is the swap the same as a RB26? Is their stuff I would need to change or beef up? I figure it is better than fabracating a twin turbo manifold for a L28. Need some advice. Thanks

$%#! the Z just got hit...
Man, that was a real close one! I guess I can chalk this one to another "Why I hate Honda Boys." Your Z is really nice! Looks a lot like the way I want to do mine up. I really feel for other Z owners who have wrong done to their car. Speaking of another "Honda" accident...my friend was driving in his Toyota Tocoma through a green light, when he got T-boned by a chick driving...well...a Civic. She wasn't paying anything to the fact her light was red. Totaled both cars. I'm glad that didn't happen to you, or any of us. Drive carefully and watch out for all the morons on the road! :tapemouth Happy Motoring.

What are my odds?
Thanks for all the comments. His car is a 1998 T/A, stock. Right now, with my '72 SU round top's, I think I can stay with him. (My engine is also stock w/ the exception of the carbs) I really want to make him eat his words. Another set-up I had was to do the 3.1 stroker and bolt on the Jim Cook super charger. I had really wanted to do a Twin Turbo set-up, but that started getting into the $7,000 range. :stupid:

shaved door kit
No, Bro. I'm currently away on business for a while, but I will be back in a couple of months. :tapemouth Can't stand to be away from the car....umm, my wife and kids for so long. :nervous: My wife knows I play a lot. Hopefully I will have some time off to get these puppies done. I will post a step-by-step thread just for it. Cool? Thanks for getting back, though. Good looking out.

I was lost without this site. I tried to go to the other site Hybrid, but I guess everyone wanted to fight about putting a 2jz Twin Turbo Supra engine in a Z. I'm just glad that your back Mike.

What are my odds?
I was having a discussion with one of the guys I work with, and he was saying about how my car looked and that it sounded like it needed to be shot. Really putting it down. He goes on to tell me that I should get something worth driving. Like a Pontiac Trans Am/ Fire Turkey wich just happened to be the car he drives. I told him, "I think that when I get my engine done, I would be able to hang if not pull away from you." Laughing he asked, What are you going to do.....better yet, what kind of 1/4 mile time are you looking to get?" I said, "I don't know, but I think it would be around the upper 12's. He then said that all he had to do would buy a $600 Nitrous set up and he would be at 10 sec. I thought to myself, Is he not going to build-up his internals? He is going to eather burn a hole in the pistons, through a rod, or blow the engine up. My engine on the other hand will consist of, but not limited to: Stage 1 cam, Forged pistons (if MSA ever comes out with them), MSD 6A controller and Blaster 2 coil, 8.5mm spark wires, Euro Damper, 6 into 1 coated header, Center Force 2 clutch, Oil cooler, Cast oil pan, battery moved to the trunk, fuel cell, holley electric pump, Dual Weber "Leathal" carbs, 260z intake w/ 240Z link rod, polished and port matched intake manifold and P79 head, 2.5" exhaust w/ Super Trapp tip, R200 Diff, 17" wheels in the rear and 16" wheels in front wrapped in Falken Azenis ST-115 tires. Not to menchen it is a 2.8L and also a 5-speed in a 1972 240Z. He has auto...nuff said. Does anyone think there might be a chance, or am I holding too high a standard for the Z to go up agenst a "I am all that is man" type of guy with his T/A? I ended our last conversation with this: "A car is limited by how well the driver is." After that he walked away. Thank you for reading my long thread. I am hoping to atleast stay with him, but would much like the view out in front.

rust guide in 240
I have the same problem, mine is on the passenger side. The only way to get rid of it/ fix it, is to cut the old panel out and weld a good one in its place. That is what I have forund. If you can find a 240Z with a backend that has no rust, I'd get the part. Not very many Junked 240Z in Florida have this part intact. Too bad they discontinued this part. A lot of us might need it. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=6978&password=&sort=1&thecat=500 This is a good pic of what it looks like. Good luck.

July Fast Fours Mag
I like the RB swap! Kudos! But, I can't get a RB here in the states. I'll have to settle for a 2JZ swap then. Are they pretty much the same? Swap-wise I mean.

Everybody just drops right in
I get the feeling of envy from other drivers. For instance, I drive, minding my own, and I would look at the other people driving and they damn near break their neck trying to get a good look at the car. I'm flattered that they do this. Then I get on base and the Honda and Acura boys stair me down. Like I did something to wizz them off. Sometimes they catchup to me at a light and want to run. With no worry, I hand them their ego back. I love my Z!

Everybody just drops right in
Just the other day a UPS driver delivered a package to the people across the street. He spent about 10 minutes talking to me about The Lady. Now everytime he passes my house, he'll honk his truck horn and wave. You got to think, these cars must mean a lot to the people who have owned them. Makes me feel really good about mine.
