Pickering/Boddy have a lot of dirt rally and endurance driving experience so I'd assume they are pacing themselves, be interesting to see if they can hold onto that first spot.

All I can say is that suppliers like Carbotech http://www.ctbrakes.com/ will make up pads for you if they don't have stock. I've used their XP10 compound and found it very good if you like true race performance from your brakes.

Autocross is not very popular here, circuit sprints are which basically consist of 4-5 laps of a race circuit involving a group of cars starting one or two at a time a few seconds between, the aim being to do the best lap time. Sort of like time attack but with multiple cars on the circuit at once. It's not supposed to involve door to door racing but boys being boys...........

Is 'solo' an alternative term for autocross here.

What does that ducting over the rear wheels of the ^280ZX^ do? I've tried to work it out myself but in my slightly aero educated mind it makes no sense, assuming that it's not for cooling purposes.

Consider shock loadings too, like clutch dumping. They make a lot of difference.
