  1. There is no 240z 2/2. Yes the 260z 2/2 and the 280z 2/2 have the same roofline.
  2. I don't own a 2/2, but I have a 260 and I love it. I also think the dash is quite nice too. Of course I cannot compare because I have never driven a 240z. Here is a pic of my interior. Also, I think that the early 260 2/2 is sleeker than most 2/2's because the bumpers are smaller than the later model and the 280. The other thing is, you can always take those old emission friendly su's off and put on 72' su's like I did. Good luck on the car. Personally, I think the 2/2 looks great. -Ben http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=6301&password=&sort=7&thecat=500
  3. I am interested too, and I would love to see some pics as well. Thank you. -Ben

  8. All those parts look so awesome. I would love to see a Z with those parts. It would be so much lighter too. Even lighter with perplex windows. The Z would fly. I still want to see those carbon fiber ZG flares. Then the car would be complete.
  9. Z-point, with those words said you have inspired me to find some headlight covers. 2manyZs, I think that is a great idea about spotwelding the nuts for easy removal. I was looking at my buckets and they are steel for sure. PrOxLaMuS, post those pictures of your car with the light covers. We want to see. Take care everyone. -Ben
  10. I will answer my own question. I don't think it is possible unless I removed the shocks in the front, but this would be incredibly stupid because that is what is holding the bumper on! Darn, I really wanted to do this swap. It would be better just to get 240 bumpers. It's not that important. The stock bumpers still look good. -Ben:classic:
  11. I don't know exactly what they are, but I think it would be safe to say that they are Minilite's or Minilite style wheels. You can scratch Watanabe off your list. Good luck. -Ben

  15. I would like to take the big rubber bumper gaurds off my early 260 and not have gaurds at all but I don't like the look of the holes on the top. So I would like to put the 240z bumper guards on in place of the ones I have now. Would this work without modification to the guards? Has anyone done this swap before? -Ben

  17. These are some nice looking wheels. I don't know about the price though. I didn't like them when I first saw them, but they have grown on me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43955&item=2433415270 Here is a pic of a sweet looking Z sporting these wheels. I think the ones in the pic are 14''. I am not 100%, but 98% anyway. http://www.classicZcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=4821&password=&sort=7&thecat=500 -Ben
  18. I saw this on the net the other day. It would look out of whack on my car since it is almost dead stock, but it would look awesome on a rb-powered z or any modded one. I would like to see one of you guys buy one. That would be awesome. Something that I think would be even more awesome is matching carbon fiber ZG flares. I haven't looked into it, but has that been done? :classic: p.s. Just go to 240z and scroll down. Cann't miss it. CARBON FIBER HOOD! hehehe. -Ben http://www.classicdatsun.com/
  19. I must say that this has been an interesting thread to read. It makes this forum have that much more of a family/friends feeling. I love it. Okay, I think the look of the clear headlight covers are awesome on Z's. The covers that I am interested are the ones with the chrome ring. Z-point, you mentioned that they look good on dark colored cars. Does anyone think they would look out of place on my car since it is a light colored car? Thanks a lot. 22. The more I am looking at this car Mr. Camouflage, the more I think it is a UK Z because of the turn signals the way they are. It does however have works options. Here is a picture of what looks to be the same car in the 1973 RAC. Regards, Ben
