My Datsun 280Z "Rustoration"
Greater range, convenience mostly. I haven't read any reports of drilling extra holes weaken the tops or not.

Mainly because the paint and interior were already finished. If I was to do it again, I would've done the 4 bolt camber plates before I painted the car.

I initially installed them at the "0" mark. I ended up adjusting the rears 2 degrees in. You have to raise the car, unbolt the coilover at the strut housing, then adjust it with an allen wrench. Not the easiest but once its set, its done.

I cant really tell a difference. I went from a 205/50/16 to a 205/55/15. A little more sidewall.

Still a little stiff for a street car, but not horrible. I still have stock sway bars and I dont think I need to upgrade.

Wanting to Buy a 240z Again
In California you should be able to find a nice one in that price range. Ive seen really nice restos in the 12-15 range in other areas.

Installed my new "Wanna-not-be's" 15x8 et0 Rota RKR's in magnesium black. Dunlop 205/55 Heres a shot of the Rota's next to my 16x7 Konig Rewinds And on the car I lowered it another 3/4" or so I really like the slight wider rim and the thicker sidewall. Subtle, but looks much better IMO. Best part is my wife has no idea I got new wheels!!

Hey Mike, theres a good 1/8" to 1/4" gap all around them so any water or moisture will just drain out like normal. The only pain is that I will have to take them off every time I wash the car now.

Just ordered new wheels..... 15x8 Rota RKRs. Very close to the Konigs I have now, but I wanted a little more sidewall and a little wider wheel. I'll post pics when I get them

Installed some headlight covers. Not sure if I like the look of them yet. What do you guys think? Yay or nay?

My Datsun 280Z "Rustoration"
I had to cut the strut housings about 2" from the bottom. I ended up having to trim a little more off so the coilover would sit flush at the base. So about 1 15/16"

Not sure what we ended up with timing. I think its slightly advanced. I will be running the filters on the street and normal driving situations, I was just curious to see what the difference was.

Finished my dyno run yesterday. This was my first time on a dyno so it was pretty exciting, Ended up with 238 peak whp and 215 tq. Not horrible, but I think we can do some more tweaking. But I am super happy with that power curve! This was on 91 octane. The 1st run (in Blue) is with the RAMAIR foam filters, and the red run is without filters. Good to know.

Yes I got most of my M8-M12 bolts from Fastenal. The M5-M6 bolts I got from ClipsandFasteners.com. The specialty Datsun hardware I had plated at a local plating shop.
