My name is Mike, 51 yo wm, born in Anchorage in Mar 64', I was there when the worst earthquake to hit Continental North America happened on Mar 29, 1964. I'm happy to report that my young parents (at the time) survived without injury. I was raised in the deep south in the 60's & 70's, what a different world that was from now (2016). I first fell in love with the Z Cars at about age 13. I saw one pull up next to my dads Olds Delta 88 at a redlight, and I was mesmerized! It's been a love affair since then. I am partial to the 70's model Z's. I owned an 83 280ZX black/gold for many years, but my love affair has always been the 240Z-260Z-280Z 70-78. I can't tell you how much it pleases me to see so much interest in these cars to this day! I will never hate on a person for having a Z that is better than mine, I'm always pleased to see a Z Car restored to pristine condition! The one peeve of mine would be what I call the Redneck Renovation! It's the reno that involves putting a stupid arse V8-350 into a Z Car!! Why? It's dumb and it's unnecessary! Get a Z engine and give it balls! I lean toward the reno's that restore a Z to it's original factory conditioning! The more original the Z, the more money it brings at auction! My 2 cents!
