  1. Bryantatem-I can't take it wouthout a title. My local revycler won't accept any chasis scrap without a title. I am already stuck with one car worth of tub cut into 1/4ths! fstr240z- I will still pull the motor. Sounds like the block and head might be ok. I have some of the other bits. I will be in touch when I can get down that way and get it. You want to see it come out or should I just bring some wheels and roll it off on my stock?
  2. I will pull the motor with you some weekend, or maybe next week if you really want to give it a try. How bad is the motor and tranny that you are getting rid of?
  3. I'll take it. How rusty is it? How stripped is it? Can I flat tow it, or should I bring the trailer? Do you have a title for it? You can e-mail on or off list magisterc@yahoo.com thanks Bryan
  4. I have an extra, but I would want more than $25 since I might need a spare. You might want to contact Jerry at All Z in Ft Worth Tx, He has them and may be reasonable.
  5. I would like to have someobody local take a look at the car for me. Where is it located? Is there a tel # I can call you at if he is able to take a look for me? If you would rather keep it of the list e-mail me privately magisterc@yahoo.com. thanks Bryan
  6. Notice that the lister only ever made one post to the list. His ad was it. He does not check the list or follow up. When I noticed that I went ahead and mentioned it. I was trolling the classifieds and saw it was still listed. Figured I would help folks out. Are you looking for a complete car or a project? Yoiu can e-mail me off the list if you would like. I have seen many a Z in the last couple of months and I am in Texas. magisterc@yahoo.com
  7. I caklled about this car several weeks ago. It is long gone. Sorry for us who missed it!
  8. So I bought a 1977 280 Z to rebuild my race car on the chasis. In stripping the tub I discovered more rust than I had expected:cry: but I also found the original canister to inflate the silly spare. I had never seen one of these. Is it valuable? Anybody doing concours want to make me an offer. It is still charged and only has a small rip in the wrapper (still complete). Or is this just a novelty and not worth anything?
  9. Forget this guys dreams, I want John's car. D#mn you did it right! Sounds like you have had some experience with this sort of thing. Makes me weep to realize that I think I am cool for having camber plates on all four corners of my ITS car! You want to take $10k for yours?:classic:
  10. I see that you are listed in Austin. E-mail me back please, I would like to come by and have a look. Thanks Bryan magisterc@yahoo.com
  11. also listed in custom z with more traffic http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=5518
  12. I am running the 280 to its legal limit. I have an r200 diff, I have a 5 spd. The radiator opening is different is what I was told and what I was mentioning. Either way I will need a new radiator as mine was crushed. Rear drum is the same but there are a slew of internal parts which are listed as being different between early 240 and 280. I think that tha 73 brakes may have been the same internally. I may have the round ports. I forget which head I have but I think it is a pater p series head (zx?) Fuel pump and fuel tank were merely observations. The tub has been butchered to install a fuel cell. So I will have to go ahead with that. I think that if you pour money into an L24 it will make more power than the RX7 but will either car be a legal IT car when you are done? Lets here more suggestions. I don't want to get stuck midproject with suprises! Thanks Bryan
  13. I am on that, I was thinking that the fuseblock is part of the complete harness. Thanks for the input. Anything else I might be missing? thanks Bryan
  14. I am looking at putting most of my 280z (1977) race car onto a 240 tub. I am curious what I should have on my shopping list and what will fit. Things that I know are different. Dash Tranny Differential Radiator bumpers hood harness rear brakes motor exhaust fuel tank fuel pump door latches tail lights Some of those things are more crucial to have right on a race car than others and some just plain won't fit. Anybody familiar with swapping back and forth who can give me some more clues? thanks Bryan

  16. Have you sold the car? How is the drivetrain? thanks Bryan
  17. Ok I have decided that nobody wants to pay what the stuff is worth to me so I will just use it to build another car. Thanks for all of the interest.:beard:
  18. :stupid: I have decided not to part it out. I think that the parts are worth more to me than they are to anyone else so I will just use them to build another Z racecar. I don't know yet if it will be a 240 or a 280 but I shall return! Thanks for all the e-mails and requests. I suppose that the rool bar may still be for sale, so you can contact me for details on it. thanks
  19. OK I wanted to ad some info. I am in central Tx and so is the car. If youa re interested in some of the big stuff and are not in the area keep in mind that it is tough and EXPENSIVE to ship roll bars and large items. Second thing. I would rather sell coil overs/camber plates and suspension as a block. It is a better deal for me and I can make a better deal for the buyer that way. And phi22b@ck , I thought I e-mailed you back. please remind me what it was you needed. direct e-mail is magisterc@yahoo.com thanks Bryan
  20. I have a complete 280z racer with body damage. I am selling off all of the parts and spares. Everytihing from welded differentials, coil overs. momo wheel etc See my post http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=5259&perpage=15&pagenumber=1 to see a list of parts e-mail for pictures or to make offers etc thanks
  21. I am parting out the car so e-mail me for whatever you want!
  22. I have a complete car less intake and fuel injection I am supposed to pic-up this weekend. It has some cosmetic needs but the rails and floors and pristine from what I can tell (still has full interior including spare and rear shelf) I can also get a clean roller less steering rack for $400 (needs fenders but I can provide these if you need them)
  23. Did I mention that this is a STRONG motor. It is an IT legal full build. The motor alone would set you back $2k or more and I have spares for the FI (ecu, AFM etc etc etc)
  24. The car is for sale, this is the FS forum after all. If you allready have a chasis than all the better for you. I have EVeRYTHING you might want or need, especially since you have a cage and a fuel cell in place. I have camber plates, coil overs, sway bars, spare fenders, wheels galore, boxes of spare axles and brake parts, and the list goes on and on. I can deliver (for a the right price) or I can build you a car. I just don't know if I want to wreck another Z. 2 in one year is pretty hard. Make me an offer, I could use some space in the garage.:beard:
  25. The upper rail (fat part of fender liner) is tweaked. The core support is also gone. I suppose you are telling me that this is trashed again eh? I will try to sell off the bits to save myself the time. If not I have located another donor chassis and should be back on the road for around $1000. The car complete is worth $7000 and more with the spares. Anybody want to buy me out for $4000? I would even throw in a straight chasis with complete interior, ac etc. to sell off to restoration guys.
