This happened Monday night after the CFP win. Our future leaders. Thousands of Alabama Crimson Tide fans gathered together at the at Tuscaloosa's Strip to celebrate their team's 18th National Championship title on Monday night. Videos and photos captured several fans flooding the streets of Alabama less than a few hours after the Tide recorded a 52-4 victory over Ohio State at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The first dog of my adult life (35 years old!) I named Jelly. All the older people in my life used to sing "jam up and jelly tight" when I said her name. had no idea what they were referring to until this morning at work listening to the oldies station we have on at the restaurant PA system. Ran back to the office to see the title and who sang it. It's called bubble gum music apparently???????- Series 1 Gas tank install questions...
This thread was very helpful when I did my tank and vent lines. It starts off the exact opposite of what we need to know but turns very informative later on. Plenty of pictures too. Edit: maybe that wasn't it! this shows the passenger's side shield and explains the fill hose better... http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuel/gastank/index.htm here's another good one...- Z's on BAT and other places collection
He'll get $45K I think, maybe $50. It's a RHD in the big money area of California. Some kid will end up with it.- Why this forum is unique
Seems like he posted on zcar.com a lot too back when I first got back into Zs. Him and some guy from Chattanooga I think were disenchanted with helping people. They were just stroking their egos.- Help With Head Rebuilding/Cam Choices
I'll add my best bag for the buck was an aluminum flywheel. It is a Tifton or Tilton or something close but at 10lbs that little motor tachs out fast through the first 3 gears. Never tried 4th and 5th. You can have the OE flywheel lightened at a machine shop, if I recall right somewhere between 15 and 20 lbs?- Looking for helper
I would add "SE Texas" to the thread's title, if you still can. I think they have an EDIT time out? Good luck, sounds fun.- Help With Head Rebuilding/Cam Choices
Whoa! I messed up. It is a stage 3 on MSA's page. Sorry about that. Welcome to the party. MSA uses Schneider's cam kits and they're stage I is closer to the grind you are talking about. https://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/classic12e03 here's Schneider's page and it looks like their grind #270-80F http://schneidercams.com/dastsunL6_NA.aspx I have one on a shelf in my spare bedroom. I thought I wanted to go faster but after a rebuild and the stock E88 head's performance I am happy just driving it as is. Too many police around here and I have the only bright orange 240Z in the county so they already know me and where I live. Every time I get gas somebody asked to look at it and a lot of times it's the police who are interested in talking. The premature wear you've heard of happens on they're new cam billets from all I read before ordering mine. You have to send in a original Japanese core with "E30" stamped on there. Like this... If you do buy that cam make sure it has this stamp, in my opinion, or I wouldn't trust it. On a break from work so I can't say much more but glad you found this forum and all the help you can stand from these guys.- Why this forum is unique

My '72 had them. Bumperettes, the vertical "boots". You may be thinking of the over riders. The bars on top of the bumpers? That may be a '73 thing?- Why this forum is unique
Me too! All my responses were search the the archives. They'd type more crap scolding me than a simple answer to my question. That's what brought me to classiczcars.com and I've been wrapped in with kindness ever since. Why waste time typing hateful responses to search myself instead of simply saying the firing order, 153624?- tranny removal

We got that neon goal post and it is now at Betty's! You are my friend now, like family. It's nice to have that connection. Cliff- .01 Ring with Standard Piston
The guy I work for here in Gadsden is from Anniston. His family has had bbq restaurants since the 60s. The Goal Post was the first now they have Betty's BBQ. I work at Pruetts BBQ. Not familiar with the pizza shop you're speaking of because I always eat for free at Betty's. I'm 40 minutes north, up hwy 431. What's the name of the pie slingers place?- .01 Ring with Standard Piston
Okay, you got me now. If Anniston is considered huge you are isolated.- .01 Ring with Standard Piston
If it says anything over .43 get new rings I'm not thinking you should bore the cylinders, just get new rings. Maybe I'm not understanding but that's not unusual so I apologize if I'm simplifying too much. You think you live in the middle of nowhere! I have one machine shop and one machinist. His brother does exhaust work. Anyhow, don't do like I did and over think yourself to pieces. These are simple compared to most motors and you have a lot of guys just waiting to help here. It's cold out and we are sick of the news on television. PLEASE give me something Z related to talk about!- .01 Ring with Standard Piston
3.4855. That's a darn good recollection.- .01 Ring with Standard Piston
http://www.kangamotorsports.com/blog/setting-ring-gaps Piston and piston ring manufacturers provide specification for their ring gaps dependent on the performance application. These are normally specified as a gap times by the cylinder bore diameter. For our high performance street applications these were our values: Top Ring = Bore x 0.0045 = 3.4855 x 0.0045 = 0.0157 inches Second Ring = Bore x 0.0050 = 3.4855 x 0.0050 = 0.0174 inches Oil Ring > 0.015 inches Given that we can only measure to 0.001 inches with our feeler gauges we rounded up or down the values to: Top Ring = 0.016 inches Second Ring = 0.017 inches* Oil Ring > 0.015 inches- Starting Carb Conversion: Flat Tops to Paltechs
Edit: That looks damn good! That front one has a nipple on the backside for distributor vacuum advance. Is it open? Here's what I used to begin a basic tune. Thank you! @240260280- saturday night music thread

I used cast iron rings with a quick/rough hone on my 2.8 block. My machinist and the internet instructed me to do down hill lower gear foot off the pedal. It sucks the rings to the cylinder walls for faster seating of the rings. The other is up and down rpms for short amounts of time, nothing steady too long. That car runs great and had solid numbers on all 6 when I did a compression check years ago. 165 I think? On my 2.4 I used chrome faced moly rings with a specific hone for those rings. 83mm rings are hard to find without spending big bucks so I got Hastings from my machinist. I've never checked the compression on that motor but it runs so good I don't want to. I would stop by and talk to a machinist, they don't like talking on the phone, it's a waste of time for them. Machine work on these L motors is very basic, not too expensive. You need to find an older shop. They quit making these in 1984 but an older guy will say he's worked on thousands and would have to remember what to do. My best advice, if you haven't already got it, would be buy this book and read it 3 or 4 times. I was able to to rebuild mine without knowing anything about car motors. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1931128030/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_tpbk_p1_i3 - saturday night music thread
