i was on a drive about a hour and a half out of where i live and when i started to drive agine i get this klunk in the rear pass side. i just did a rear brake job and did what the book said to the T and now after a long drive i have a vibration and a sort of klunk in the rear end. o dose any body live in the killeen/fort hood area?

yes both went out at the same time and all other lights and acc's work wipers ect...but the z it a 1978 280 base modle with 4 spees trany.

ok the problem is my head lights went out wile driveing home. i need to get them fixed soon i just got the car back from a long deployment to iraq. and i wanna see if any body ealse has ran into this problem i dont have either bright or dim lights. i cheaked the fuses and they are all good and i looked at the wireing best i could will be back at it tommrow after work. i just need to find a quick fix for it i go on leave and wanna see the family. thank you for all your time. pfc silvey

the only thing found was a sticky door not sure if one of the dash pots go to it and if its bad im 2000 miles away from the car and fsm so i need some hepl from the smart people here i know someone has had to of had this problem

im not sure if vaccume is the issue or what but the door wont move and im not sure what it is that nis wrong. so chime in and please help me if you have had this problem befor.

yea i found one today and thats why im asking. by the way its on ebay now if you want a shot at it. so i guess if anybody knows chime in.

dose anybody know about the N.A.P.S system for a 280 what kind of effects it would have on the motor or any gain to haveing this?

well the hmvv only sits as high as a ranger maby lower but light is no problem. its not to tight of a beam and not to wide i use them all the time. they are however really noticeable and brighter than h4. but i would like to see some pictures befor i grab a pair for my z. just to see what they look like if it is to much ill just leav mine alone.

nice i wanted to do a lemons car with some of my guys when we get back from iraq. im wondering about turning this n/a motor into a little monster not to extream but fun.

my 78 is being restored while im away to iraq and my father is haveing a problem with the coil pick ups burning out and it has only a MSD package upgrade to it. im not sure what needs to be done if any thing to prevent this problem.

Im looking to spend around 3000 to 4000 on this project maby more. ive been looking at itb and zccjdm has a really nice product for itb. Im looking for a fun build in the end and not something thats going to be a pain in the a**. Im looking for direction for this i would like more power but safe power i dont want to get done with the motor and then it fail for any reason after i drop it in. there are other directions i can go like a SR20 that would coust about the same but i kinda wanna stay with the l28.Even tho the drop and go would be nice i like a challenge.

ok i have a second engine for my 78 280z.Im going to be starting a new project for the motor and im wondering if i should turbo it or stroke it? i need insight on what to do. its a bone stock l28 n/a motor. So give me your point of view on what to do with it.

I am wondering if any body is running ITB on there cars.I have seen a ITB kit for sale on ZCCJDM and im wondering if this would be a good upgrade for power. PFC silvey

I have been looking for some diffrent things to do to my 78 280 and i have been looking at the ITB kit that zcc has for sale. Im wondering if anybody has used them? Is it going to be worth the price to use them? PFCsilvey

well problem solved found out that the A wire was found rubbing on the ac pump.

yes reinforce the body i have done this befor at the body shop i have worked at if you wanna make sure that its stright when it is done use cross braceing for it. but the rail replacement that they offer will save you time and money (plus you dont have to weld on then take off) . if you dont brace it you might end up with a couple of diffrent problems like sag(car will look like a shrimp woth close mesurements). If you have some body shop buddys that have a messureing system see if you can get a data sheet from them so when you do mesure your with the factory specs.im not sure where you can find the mesurement sheet online. i used to use a volicty laser mesureing device to do my work(at the shop those things cost some change) they will how ever be able to print a sheet of the mesurements befor and after. but this is all IMO. but like blue said that should be enugh to do the job. Im looking to do the same on my 78 z im looking at a single din 7 inch touch in mine. Well my brother is going to do this for me while im gone plus im going to put a back up cam on it as well. Im just trying to find a way to keep the antenna the same probly find a switch to use. PFC Silvey
