In my 2.8ltr engine i use Millers semi-synthetic 20W/50 with a K&N HP-3001 oil filter. With the high temperatures you've mentioned have you considered an oil cooler?
What an awesome road trip, tried to attach pictures to the thread but away from home right now & having difficulties with my phone
Added into my picture albums instead,no idea from their website how much the whole event would cost but if you've got to ask then i guess i couldn't afford it
Has anyone been following the Trans-America Challenge? Today it's on day four of the New York to Alaska route going through 19 States. Car no23 is a 1971 Datsun 240Z with Roy Stephenson & Peter Robinson from the UK. www.endurorally.com/transam
Hi Jason, I've also seen you on the UK Z site, you've found a good one and enjoy using it. There's a wealth of quality info over here but don't be afraid of using the search function.Keep the thread going with plenty of pictures, hope to see you soon. Ray
Hiya Newt, Try looking at some of RatDat's USA paint codes as well,if the car you mentioned was/is actually owned by Moggy then it did originally come from your side of the water, did you notice the steering wheel & wipers on 'your side'? Not sure if he comes on here or even if it's the original color so maybe your best bet would be to pm him via the zclub,he's a really helpful chap & the club's Insurance Valuation Officer as well. Ray
Hi Newt, I'm from the UK and i'm fairly sure it belonged to Mike Harris who goes under the name of 'moggy240' on www.zclub.net who should be able to provide you with the correct color code or wait until Alan T chimes in with his usual quality information. Ray
Hi Jonathan, Not sure i can come up with any accurate answers for you (electrics aren't my strongest subject!) but i've got a brand new 240Z sender unit you could try if you want? Could bring it to The Lakez Meet at The Heaves Hotel if it helps? Ray
