  1. You are correct, 15x7. The center caps are from ZX 6 spoke wheels which fit perfectly.
  2. Every fall, at the beginning of November, I change out my high performance, super sticky Dunlop Star Specs & 16" wheels to the stock wheels and tires. This time, I could not do this due to the Wilwood brake upgrade I did in the spring. Was searching for some 15" replacement wheels, when Zup mentioned he might have some on one of his 240z parts cars. A few weeks ago, we made a trip out to where the cars are stored, and yes, the white 73 had a set of what looked like vintage Enkei 15's. Pulled the wheels, cleaned them up a little, tested the fit and clearance, then ordered a set of new all season tires. Ended up ordering the 4 tires from Tires-Easy.com, turned out to be a great experience. Ordered on a Friday - delivered the NEXT day on Saturday. Very nice (and about $30 less than TireRack. (4 Sumitomo HTR AS P02 215 60 15) Total $276 shipped. Dropped them off with the wheels and had them Road Force balanced, then mounted the set myself with new lug nuts. They take standard conical seat lugs (thank god I didn't need to bug Captain O to modify them) Anyway, I am set until next April - the Dunlops don't like temps below 50 degrees. The tires work great, and are a good choice for an inexpensive all season tire. Recommended Big, very big thanks to my friend Zup for those great wheels! I think they like being back on the road... (Zup's wheel donor ...)

  4. It is actuated when the AC compressor is engaged to increase the idle speed. This compensates for the load the compressor causes. Good luck with your vacuum line troubleshooting.
  5. Agreed. A beautiful road car. From the era when designers had a free hand, and car design was not compromised by government regulations.
  6. Cheap for a car with a claimed top speed of 109,547 mph. Faster than anything NASA has ...

Incredible work! Wow. Love the picture with the Baileigh English Wheel.

Both are good suggestions. Also the actual ignition switch is held on to the back of the lock assembly by 2 small phillips screws, easy to change. Prior to doing that, you can simply unplug it's electrical connector & plug in a replacement switch, then turn the switch with a slot screwdriver to test. Rock Auto has the switch for $17.
  9. The FAA banned only the Galaxy Note 7 on all US flights. The regular Galaxy S7 is not. I think the S7 probably uses a different battery. From my rally days, the lights that Jarvo2 has under the bumper look more like spots to me, not fogs. If they came with snap on plastic covers, they will be protected from stone damage when driving & not in use.

Yes, I was aware of the fitment issue but the price was irresistible. 24 bucks versus MSA's 250. Charliekwin is in the same boat. I'll just wait for the Captain's ocd to kick in and he will machine a trick jig to form the curve. Maybe he will share it like a tool rental program.

Ya, I am hoping they can be worked to follow the curve. If you place the new one along the existing door molding, you will see the extent of the problem.

One end was off in the set of upper door moldings I purchased as well. You're right, not a big deal considering the OEM set new is about $350 more. How do you plan to address the issue that the originals follow the upward curve as the molding as it nears the back of the door? The BD set is perfectly straight, and does not have the formed curve. Overall, very pleased with the parts in my order.
  13. I stand corrected. It appears that they outsource all of their body / paint work. I wonder who does that work for them?
  14. As long as everything is matched, like Chas did with the turbo clutch & flywheel in his 280, there should be no problem. Stock 240 / 280 clutches are the same, the beefier turbo has the larger 240mm surface area and you need the bigger disc & pressure plate to utilize it.

Steve Did you get any shipping notification or tracking info from them?
  17. Nice job, glad you are back on the road. Wondered what had happened to you. Drivelines NW in Seattle is where I got my U joints when I did the same job about 3 yrs ago. They had the beefy Neapco joints that were a perfect fit.

I too am curious as to what prompted you to replace the head gasket ...

I am betting they are the same, with the exception of the connectors. The neutral switch has spade connections, the reverse light switch are bullets.
  20. Flywheel probably is contaminated & needs to be resurfaced is another possibility.
  21. A check of the fuel pressure would be a good place to start. Some people have hooked up the gauge temporarily to monitor the fuel pressure under load while driving. Also check the rubber boot that connects the afm to the throttle body for cracks / tears hidden in the rubber folds. If you have just washed the motor and moisture is in the tvs (throttle position sensor) you will need to dry it out with canned air.
  22. If you need parts, Zcar Depot is close by in Springfield & has everything you would need. If the clutch turns out to be worn out, many people like Exedy clutch kits.

I suppose you could put the valve train back together, spark plugs in and just use the compression to see if it comes free. I think Mike's advice is good though and I would just use leverage and a rubber mallet to work it free. I think you will find the same red sealant on the head gasket that was used on the manifolds.

Andreas The final shipping cost on my order today got calculated right at the end of their process, just before you place the order if that helps. My shipping cost actually dropped probably because my zip is fairly close to them. Another possibility is if a member here is close to their location in Lenexa, KS and could pick up the bumper packed by them & then ship it direct to you.

Sorry to see them go, have not purchased from them for a while. Spent $100 with them today though on some misc. parts for the silver 71 Purchased the right & left door moldings with seal, the stainless part that has the rubber squeegee for the window, 11.95 each, wonder what the quality will be like. We will see. Had to get a door handle for 3.95
