  1. If I remember correctly, the stainless brake lines I purchased had a sticker stating they were not approved for street use. That might have changed by now, but, at least they had a warning on them.
  2. Sounds like they got it all ready for a new paint job!! $2,500 should get you on the way to a nice Z dude... Glad they found it.
  3. Carl, the rotary valve system looks VERY interesting. Are they building one for the L series?
  4. Have a GREAT TIME!! Post picts when you get back. I would love to go if I could...
  5. I created a new thread for the purist vs modified. It is here: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28035 This thread is to discuss bullet mirrors.
  6. sigh...
  7. Did anyone click on the links I provided above? Some of the genuine Talbot mirrors (chrome on brass) can run up to $330 !! Wow, that's expensive. BadDog, did you notice these mirrors are difficult to see through the passenger window ? It's almost like the mount arm needs to be extended to get above the window rail.
  8. Thanks, but, I'd rather keep the main point of this thread on subject rather than dilute it with a bunch of bickering. I won't edit posts, but, I will remove them. This is BadDog's thread, so, I can give him the choice to undelete the other threads. My only objection is this thread will remain in our archives indefinitely, so, future users will need to weed through the garbage just to get to the point. m
  9. Scarab conversions were top notch back in the day. I would do some research into the authenticity of this conversion. I haven't seen or heard of a 2+2 conversion, but, I suppose it could be one of a kind ... Does zhome.com have anything on the Scarab history? We have a forum dedicated to Scarab conversions.
  10. Hi Randy, Yep, they were all uploaded to the events gallery. I created a folder just for that event under 2007. Thanks for sharing! -- Mike
  11. I do believe the original Fairlady had bullet mirrors up on the fenders. To me, however, those mirrors are much too far away to be useful. One of the original bullet mirrors was seen on Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing. It's made by Talbot and been very popular for other cars as well. I hope to pick up a set of Talbot's sometime, but, they are pretty expensive. http://rdent.com/pages/mirror.html http://www.alfacybersite.com/ACSTalboc.html http://www.talbotco.com/talbot_mirror.htm I also believe the original Talbot bullet was 4" diameter. These new ones are 3.5".... I'd love to get the bigger ones! BTW: I cleaned up this thread and removed off topic posts.
  12. Can you post these in our events gallery?
  13. Mike posted a post in a topic in Open Discussions
I merged the threads together. Thx.
