What you look like.
Oh, okay... that's our gallery, which, is different from our forums. Hope it isn't too confusing.. The gallery is dedicated to image uploads while the forums are dedicated to conversations. I can't merge them, but, we can maintain links between the two. I encourage you to upload your mugshots to the gallery as well. -- Mike

Can a head gasket be reused?
No no no no no no no no!!! Do NOT re-use the head gasket. There are TON of reasons not to do it, but, my main point is: Due to the pain and effort involved with replacing the gasket, do you REALLY want to take this shortcut? Get the best head gasket known to man and install that. You can do shortcuts in other areas (where it's easy to replace later), but, don't do it here.

Is this Z worth $45,000
Am I the only one who got this ? Good one. I don't want to downplay such craftsmanship.... It is a very nice car (and a lot of hard work I might add), but, it's not going to sell for that price.

Filter or other solution for crank tube?
I'm no longer using SU carbs because I replaced them with Triple Mikuni's. My Mikuni's have three separate filters. Because of this swap, I now need to find a solution to cover the tube coming out of the engine (just below the carbs). From what I understand, this tube is responsible for routing engine crank fumes/gasses back into the carbs for emission purposes. I also have the same problem for the tube coming out of valve cover, but, I know there is a K&N solution for that part. Does anyone have good ideas about how I can deal with the one for the engine crank? If you have pictures or ideas, it would help me out a lot !! Thanks! -- Mike

MSA Fiberglass airdams
Most fiberglass parts will need some kind of preparation before they are painted and installed. 8 hours seems a little excessive, but, I don't know what kind of work they need to do. I would think 4-5 hours for an airdam is appropriate (prep work and paint). There should be at least an hour or two for install (depending on the amount of work needed to mount it properly). I agree with geezer.. maybe you can call MSA and ask them if the other air dams have the same problem. They could do a swap out... but, you'll have to wait.

Classic Z Car Club licence plate frames?
We had frames at one time, but, the quality from the service provider was horrible. We had ideas for stickers as well, but, that never surfaced. Let me see if I can put something together in the next few months. The license plate frame is an awesome idea, but, I really want to do those right -- ie: chrome and nice lettering.

NW Mary's Peak Fun Run Photos
Yea! You missed out on a very beautiful day. It was a lot of fun and a slight crisp in the air kept our cars running cool. One mishap, someone (not me) ended up in the ditch! No big damage, just a cracked airdam and some hurt pride (brakes failed).

NW Mary's Peak Fun Run Photos
Hi all, I just posted a bunch of photos from a pretty cool event here in Oregon. We all drove our cars up to the top of Mary's Peak and then followed it up with a very cool BBQ. All of it was put on by a local club = Datsun's Northwest. It was especially fun for me because this was the first time I brought the yellow Z out of the garage and took her on a serious drive. Most of the driving I've done has been around the block or within a 5 mile radius. I purchased some of the K&N Filters, bolted on the stock seat belts, and had some fun! There was about 40 people in attendance and the whole thing was a blast. As you can see in the photos, it was a beautiful day in Oregon and we couldn't have asked for a better time. Gallery is here: https://www.classiczcars.com/gallery/category/2175-07-datsuns-nw-marys-peak-run/ Mike
