Fairlady Z Up For Auction on Ebay!
Steve for the car, and the PARTS. Come on...there are some crazy parts for this car...however, I think the selling party could do better selling the parts separately...Again, I suspect that unless two parties want to step up and bid this up to 20k it will not make reserve. Ron

Fairlady Z Up For Auction on Ebay!
I know this car, This was Les Cannaday's right hand drive Z that he sold three years ago. Its current owner paid about 8k for it then. It needed floors and a hatch back then (which are provided by the current seller). I have driven in this car several times, ant it was always a good runner. A good friend flew down from northern california to drive the car to Vegas for the National Z convention in 2001. This car has good bones and with a little work can be a great car. I suspect that 20k is close to the reserve price, but dont really know for sure. I do hope that the car goes to a good home, and is restored correctly.

How would you like Nissan Sport to Honor the S30
Hi Art, I sent you a PM with an update on the 510. My cars are available at your convenience.

How would you like Nissan Sport to Honor the S30
obviously the magazine will need to stay profitable, and that will be done by looking for the largest reading base. That will be the guys with the new cars. Are you worried about keeping the base of S30 readers? Or are you looking to widen the scope of the magazine thus create a larger target market? My suggestion would be to remember where you came from, and look at where you are going, and do the best you can.

Sway bar suggestions...
I have a matching set of adjustable front and rear bars for a 280Z that I removed from a retired BSP 280Z. These swaybars are used Arizona Z swaybars with endlinks. I would like to sell them because I went with a tubular adjustable front bar and matching rear swaybar on my 240Z. Let me know if your interested via PM.

Pics from Zdayz
I am assuming you are referring to the swaybar mount that goes down to the top of the frame rail from the strut tower. If they are that far off, you can weld up the holes and redrill them or open up the holes a little based on your swaybar position. It does make a very large difference in the way the car handles.

our beloved Z, is it becoming better or worse?
Goertz designed the Silvia based off the Roadster platform and a design project with Yamaha that probably became the Toyota 2000GT. Goertz did not design the 240Z. If you look closely at that early Silvia you will see Goertz written all over it. The Z on the other hand may have pulled some styling ques off the Silvia, but it is not a Goertz design. There is tons of documentation regarding this matter...and you are entitled to your opinion, but it is not the truth. As for what car, I think the purity of the early Z, in it's design and basic function is outstanding. I enjoyed driving my 93 300ZX more than my street 240Z for its refinement and comfort.

How many miles 276k from what your photo post says?...Has it ever been in an accident? Help me out 72240Z...you have a nice car, but I still cant tell what you have...or even guess at a value.

Getting ready to order Wats. Need opinions
Panasports are available in gunmetal, I guess that MSA is not offering them anymore. You can order them thru Les Cannaday at Classic Datsun 760-940-6365. I ordered and received a set from Les for my 510 project. R

Getting ready to order Wats. Need opinions
The machined lip on a darker car will stand out better and look better. Although on most cars I prefer Wats. painted, this is the exception to the rule.

Z car value
your still too vague, is it a stick or auto? what color combo, how many miles etc. If you want an idea of what it is worth you need to provide more details along with photos. To get the top end of your money scale listed above, the car will need to be all there and very original, low miles and in much better than average condition.
