  1. Apparently some stores get it and are changing policy. I might start shopping at QFC. https://komonews.com/news/coronavirus/qfc-stores-to-set-customer-limits-test-one-way-aisles-in-bid-to-slow-virus-spread
  2. How much is left in the hole? Sometimes the shaft gets rusted in and only the top breaks off. You have to twist the housing around and back and forth on the bolt remnant to get the rust to break free. Got a picture?

Credit where due. AG Barr makes me queasy just thinking about what he's done but his latest action shows that there's still a vertebrae or two in there and a rational brain. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/06/william-barr-attorney-general-coronavirus-169232
  4. I just took a little shopping trip to the local grocery store and was really surprised at how few people were wearing any type of face covering. I don't know if they are just dumb, or don't care, or don't believe that it helps. Even the store workers were not, only a few were, of their own accord. Here in north Washington it looks like the message about transmitting the virus without symptoms just isn't getting out there. Or it's a "me" thing.

Who, exactly, is going to implement a better plan? Seriously, can you imagine? From your article - "President Trump has no use for Sweden’s nuanced approach. Last Wednesday, he smeared it in a spectacular fashion by saying he’d heard that Sweden “gave it a shot, and they saw things that were really frightening, and they went immediately to shutting down the country.” And how does the idea in the second article work, without testing? The lack of tests has been an issue and still is. "They have laid out a version of the idea, which would have the government test all workers on designated days. Officials would swab all workers twice. The first swab would be pooled into groups of 1,000 and tested immediately. " Most of what's happening today in the US is damage control and campaigning. Fingers do need pointing. The wrong people are in charge.

Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, taken to intensive care, in case he needs a ventilator. This might make things more "real" for the ruling class. It can happen to anyone. https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2020/apr/06/coronavirus-live-news-boris-johnson-admitted-to-hospital-as-trump-again-touts-hydroxychloroquine
  7. I found a video that shows the tapping method for unsticking stuck float needle valves. Requires a special tool. It starts at about 30:35.

Just heard a TV commentator point out that one month ago there were only 11 cases of COVID-19 in the USA. One month. Today there are 9,611 deaths, and 336,537 confirmed cases.
  9. My carb knowledge is old Carters and Quadrajets and Kawasaki. Are those DCOE's? I don't even really know what that means. STILL! They have floats, and they might be stuck, and the levels need setting. Another thing that happens is that a float will get a pinhole in it and slowly fill with gasoline. then it doesn't float anymore. It's a sinker. Like SteveJ said, take a look. Might find something simple. I've seen replica carbs used for electronic fuel injection. I think it's the Jenvey system. Found it. The DCOE Heritage system. https://www.jenvey.co.uk/products/#classic-cars
  10. IT's certainly possible. People talk about it a lot. Float levels also. Pasted a Google link below. Wish I had some carbs to work on right now. Send me your carbs and I will rebuild them for free. https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=83qKXs2jMc3S-gTMnKCIDQ&q=weber+stuck+floats&oq=weber+stuck+floats&gs_lcp=CgZwc3ktYWIQAzoFCAAQgwE6AggAOgQIABAKOgYIABAWEB46CAgAEBYQChAeOgUIABDNAkomCBcSIjBnNzdnNTZnNjJnNjdnNThnNzNnNjJnNjlnNjdnNzdnNzNKGwgYEhcwZzFnMWcxZzFnMWcxZzFnMWcxZzVnNFCJDVjdJGD1JWgAcAB4AIABUIgB8wiSAQIxOJgBAKABAaoBB2d3cy13aXo&sclient=psy-ab&ved=0ahUKEwiN6erUyNLoAhVNqZ4KHUwOCNEQ4dUDCAk&uact=5
  11. The carb guys know more about the choke mechanics on those carbs. Sometimes, "choke" means different things on different carbs.
  12. Sorrry. CarbS plural. Even better, they're so exposed. Not kidding, the float needles or the floats themselves get stuck. It's just a fact of floats.
  13. Tap on the carb with something solid. I've fixed stuck boat carb floats with a closed pocket knife. Tap, tap ,tap. A heavy wrench is good.

Interesting comparisons of two side-by-side states, one took early action, one didn't. The comparison probably scales up to country-level. Too late but worth considering for future decisions. There will be a push to open things up early. Click on the graphs, there are two.
  15. If the tires have a wider wheel base their arc will be greater. The arc of the turn can also affect what the wheel hits. You could always "cheat" your T/C, Take the inner sleeve out and cut a half inch off. Put it back together and adjust to. Might get you there. Anyway, the reality is your new tires rub. And, tires can have the same specs and still have a different shape. I learned this in the past but the width number is actually the sidewall width, not the tread. I always thought it was tread width but it's not. https://www.tirebuyer.com/education/understanding-tire-sizes-and-types Section width of tire (Example: P 225/45R17 91V) The three digits following the service type prefix (if present) tell us the cross-sectional width of the tire in millimeters. In the example above, the tires width, measured from the widest point of the inner sidewall to the widest point of the outer sidewall when properly mounted, is 225 millimeters.

I'm kind of a numbers guy so I was looking forward to checking the IHME web site to see what the latest projections were. But they missed their last update date of yesterday April 4. They took the notification about April 4's update off and changed it to a vague statement about collecting data. I hate to imagine it but I'm guessing the latest projection was really bad, and/or, as it turns out, that the administration's Coronavirus team might have been using it to make ventilator requirement projections, since the data can be split out by state. From what I read. Now, everyone is saying the the coming week is going to be really bad, death's wise. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/05/pearl-harbor-us-surgeon-general-coronavirus-deaths-donald-trump-white-house-briefing Yesterday this page said that the next update would be April 4. That message is gone and there's no new date set. https://covid19.healthdata.org/projections Take every effort possible to stay out of the hospital and don't send anyone else there.

Here's a good article about the bigger picture. How decisions are being affected. It's well-referenced, full of links throughout. The royal family. It's actually scary to read, looking at who's actually running things over there, and how they got there. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/05/jared-kushner-coronavirus-aid-trump-governors
  18. I forgot about the plain old T-shirt. Already fitted to your head and neck. Just use the collar and hang it on your nose. Let the rest sit on your shoulders. Plus, you can wear favorite team colors, stylin'. And, of course, there's the niqab.
  19. You can only adjust toe on the factory stock Z's. Here's some aftermarket stuff. https://www.cxracing.com/control-arm-camber-kit
  20. Check your T/C rod bushings. They can get old and loose and let the wheel move forward. New bushings might buy you some room.
  21. Have you had it on the ground or are you turning the wheel while the wheels are hanging? And where, exactly is it rubbing? The "bumper" is that chrome covered thing on the front of the car.

Crozier. It goes to the top. The source. "It isn’t clear what role Trump may have played in Crozier’s ouster. Modly told one colleague Wednesday, the day before he announced the move: “Breaking news: Trump wants him fired.”" https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/04/04/trump-wants-him-fired-inside-ouster-capt-brett-crozier/
