Availability of Rear Body Panel
Now that;s good news to hear! Def let us know when the shipment comes in.

Availability of Rear Body Panel
the 30-7240 is listed as the 70-73 panel in the catalog I have which is within the last year. perhaps they have updated the catalog and mine is outdated now. you could try either Z barn, MidwestZ, danny's datsun's, or zach's Z for a used one out of a donor car.

Availability of Rear Body Panel
looks like we replied at the same time =). just bumping this for you to see

Availability of Rear Body Panel
actually that's not true, MSA carries it and it's titled "rear panel'. Part number 30-7240....however 70-73, 74.5-76, and 77-78 coupe are all listed as "As available"...so you'll have to give them a shout and see if they have one in stock. They carry one in stock for the 74 coupe at $ 349.52 and all 2+2 models 74-78. If the 71 part isn't available, you may be able to use the 74 coupe panel they list as having in stock and make some minor adjustments to make it fit your application.

Series 1 FS EBAY
The heater control panel looks correct and if I;m not mistaken there is no retracter on the seatbelt. Perhaps the cold air damper was installed due to climate for driveability? There's no VIN listed on the auction

Series 1 FS EBAY
yeah thats what it kind of looks like, but I can't imagine why anyone would do that. Although people do put Z cars on 4X4 chassis's so anything is possible.

Series 1 FS EBAY
This car looks pretty good Series 1 Although this guy appears to be very non chalant about what he has....... he may not even know. The interior could use a good going over and......if the pic doesn't lie, is it true that the series 1 cars did not have the door lock on top of the door, however it;s a pull lever next to the armrest?? I'd be all over this one!

rear control arms
I'll shoot you an email!

rear control arms
The 78 parts car that has to be the worst case scenario I have ever seen...has rotted even through the control arms! There are actually two members of the site that have seen this one up close. I need to post some pics. Some of the guys who are having rust woes might feel alot better about their own projects after seeing this one. 2many, thank you very much for the offer. If things don;t pan out with my other source I'll certainly take you up on the offer. Midwest Z has a few laying around that I am awaiting some pics on for a VERY good price

rear control arms
Yeah I'm fairly certain that they are identical atleast from 72 on up. Anyone ever see a control arm rot through?? :tapemouth
-
rear control arms

heads???

260 and 280 struts?
As far as I can remember the fronts are identical however there are some differances in the rear. I know the backing plates on the rear setup differ as the wheel cylindars are not the same on the 77 and 78 as the 260. I beleive the 74 and 75 cars share the same setup, however I beleive in 76 is when the change occured.

Removing Glue from Diamond Vinyl
I think you might be able use a product called Naptha also.

Removing Glue from Diamond Vinyl
larry, I've used nail polish remover, or even rubbing alchohol. that did the trick on the 260 diamond vinyl. try a small hidden area first for colorfastness I may be yanking the rear out of the 280 in the driveway this sunday if you are interested in stopping by

Body roll and sway bars?
I agree, for those strut braces to really be effective they need to be done right. Although, if you are not autocrossing the car, I can;t imagine being able to throw the car around that much under normal legal driving conditions to warrant having them in.
