Painted the wiper arms
When my car was painted the bodyshop went ahead and painted the wipers too. It sure makes a difference. Great job!

Mpg....
Right, a lot of factors to consider......But you think you can do better than 25 mpg? Damn! :cheeky:

U2 found Datsun !
Yeah, it's not like our hoods are as durable as some of the older American cars. My friend's old Dodge Demon was a tank! Then again, Bono had plently of money to pay for the damages.

Mpg....
...maybe my mileage will improve after a valve adjustment.

U2 found Datsun !
Believe me, recognizing a black pearl 280 is only the beginning.

U2 found Datsun !
Could be....actually you're probably right. I forgot about the lack of stripes.

Yep. Wonder if the owner is lurking around here.:ninja:

U2 found Datsun !
yep, it's a 78 pearl black from what it looks like. Pretty cool. Hopefully he didn't scuff up the hood too bad after dancing on it.

Alright, this is what I understand to be the story of that car; Basically it won Best Work In Progress. It is rear engined if you can believe that. Funny thing is when it was announced as being a winner, groaning participants made their disapproval known. I'll leave it at that.

I'll keep my eyes peeled. Oh, and I'm watching this auction too.

Made It Onto Japanese Nostalgic Car Website!
Wow 5 pictures?....Nice. Yes, everyone else that was at MSA this year should check it out. Maybe yours made it. Even if you weren't there, it's a great collection as mentioned. I'll check out MSA's website to see if they have finally uploaded their new pics from this year.

.....Yeah, well me and everyone else. :squareeye Still, it's a great feeling to have your car's picture online. Just wanted to share. Here's the link for the rest of the shots. http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/article.cgi?section=events&article=zcarnatls2008

Rust is killing my z
I've seen worse. Might as well save this one if you can. I've been "practicing" on my car for years with all the work I've put into it. I would hate to see all my energy transplanted into another project. Just seems like a waste. Know what I mean? It's your car, but it's not a lost cause. Good luck.

Nissan Repro Program Car on Ebay
In my opinion part of the allure of the VZ's is historical. Aside from the obvious fact that it's a Z, what else makes these cars special is the fact that no other car manufactuer ever had a program like this. That in itself make these select 240's unique.

Rust is killing my z
Great, thanks for addressing the chasis issue. That's good to know. If you have the money.................

XenonXIII Here
Z31 is a great site. AZ-ZBum has put a lot of work into it, but try not to wizz him off.

Looking for info on the 260z. Can you help?
Try looking for a full face dash cap. It's the economic alternative and they look great if installed correctly. Even my own half cap looks decent. MSA and Black Dragon have them. Another alternative is to fix your original dash yourself. Somewhere there's a thread on here that showed some good results. Can't remember who posted his work, but if your handy it may be the project for you.

Rust is killing my z
Yep, you'll have to be weary of rust for a 510 as well. How out of control is the rust on your Z? I would say all hope can't be lost unless the chasis or undercarriage are affected. Guys?

1977 280z 2+2
yes, the ride for a 2+2 seems smoother and maybe even quieter. It's been years since I drove a 280 2+2, but that was my lasting impression from years ago. Still nice cars nonetheless, but you can't beat the coupes hands down in terms of performance. That's for any Z.

XenonXIII Here
Great site, I just checked it out. However, I thought there could be some more info on the Z31 and Z32. Also there was a typo on the Z32 page referencing the Z31 as a Z32. Personally, I had a few more suggestions, but still I appreciate your work. Let me know if you are interested. Andy
