Who Still Makes 215/60/R14 tires?
I found other makers of 215/60/14 ! Kumho Tires makes a set (T rated) but not sure I like the look of them though http://www.tiresdelivered.com/193419453.htm Heres another source for the Touring Plus version (TR rated) http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=Touring+Plus+732&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=16TR4TPL732&fromCompare1=yes&place=2 Also Kelly Tires makes a VERY neat style with Raised White Letters and they're made by Goodyear actually I believe they are (H rated) from speaking on the phone. If you go through Les Scwhab Tires you can get a set special order and delivered in about five days. Forgive me as I can't find the pictures again online Goodyear has an Eagle GTII (S & T rated) here which is also very nice set with others like the Hankook Opitmo (H rated). http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_tires.jsp?req=find&startfrom=1§ionwidth=215&aspectratio=60&biddiameter=14&brand= Goodyear Hankook Keep in mind that none of these sidewall designs look like my Goodyear Wingfoot 215/60/14 which is more bubble shaped :hurt: ~Z~

The State of Things....
Thaynx for clearing that up but don't let the shop towls fool ya :rambo: I actually found kind of easy (Except for that Darn EGR Tube :hurt:). The mani's are still off awaiting that EGR Tube in the mail via MSA. If it wasn't for that and smog stuff in Cali I would've did what you done and put her back together 2 weaks ago when I got the FI Int/Exh Gasket ! All thats left is reset my timing, mess with the idle screw and go from there with buynig clutch disc and new Grand Prix GT 215/60/14 raised white letter tires ~Z~

The State of Things....
Ok,... Old Thread Dredge here from where I found my answer ,(search function ~_^). http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13613&highlight=manifold+studs But were does the 4 "shorter" studs go? Best I figure is 2 on the very bottom middle (5 & 7), and 1 each on the very ends (1 & 11) . Since that leaves the other 7 "longer" studs in a logical pattern with the odd numbered stud in the center hole (6) by itself. My head is an N47 which I suppose is similar build to the N42 in this case. Any answers or other suggestions :errm: ? ~Z~

You CRAZY BLAKE! I always knew he wasn't my old boy Woody but I did have him peged as Mr. Horse Power I also have a decal of him too, jus the same as your photo above. Roadrunner and Wile Coyote are one of those last cartoons that really make me laugh. Then came the Animaniacs! also a Warner Bros. make

The State of Things....
Thats the way to go BRO ! I segest each of you grab a 20 count bag, trust me. Most deffinately go fo the ones with cheese on them, They're the best for me although the plan ones are great too! Think my dad said the farthest West he saw one was Kanses City. Does anyone know what studs go in which hole by chance ? I know the 4 big silver ones go top but the other 3 types I have no idea. I have 4 short kinds with 5 longer ones that look alike and 6 or 7 darker studs with thick washers on them. I got the EGR Tube nuts off the Manifolds today with Blakes advice (THYANKU ) and went to set up the new studs but was lost from there.

She's almost done! StIll need 1 part, though.
Jus for future note since the Chiltons Manuel is worth jack, the bottom nut screws downward (the top of the nut towards you). And the top one (the BIG NUT) goes clockwise when taking them off.

new driver in town
Congradulations Pal My Great Granddad used to go fishing in his old blue ford pickup with me. When I tryed to crawl under it one day when he was working on it he told me get out of there before it falls me ^^ I remember when my feet first touched the floorboards in the back seat of my Grandmothers '76 Coup de Ville. Those were good times and I'm sure you'll have many ~Z~

Your opinion on tires.
Yeah, go figure though. Mordern day stuff is the reason why my favorite rim company,Tenzo, don't make any style for Z cars cause of that front wheel drive offset crap. Dang postive offset ., +22, whats that about
-
Your opinion on tires.
That websites tight! I can use that to find all sorts of rims and see if the offset will clear the backspacing ahead of time !! Great Find MARS :rambo:

Your opinion on tires.
Those Hankooks look nice and thyanx for the chart 240ZMan. You guys know those tire size caculator sites that says "(X) amount of tire diameter above 3% original size risks brake failure"? Is there any truth to that? I'v been using this site here which seems to be pretty good I guess. http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp?action=submit

Your opinion on tires.
Old tread revival here but is 195/60/14 good for a stock '77 280z 4 speed? I found a set of 215/60/14's which is what I wanna get but their kinda pricey.

Anyone have any rim and tire combos they like to get rid of?
I'm needing to buy new tires for my girl in the next couple of days and wanted to see what was out there from you guys that I could just bolt on and go. Since the classifieds and Ebay turned up few results. Trying not to spend so much on new tires to hopefully get me clutch fixed this weekend instead of nex weekend (Well thats the idea anyway :rambo:) Well jus let me know if you have anything to consider, I live in Northern California 95901 Thyanx for the time ~Z~

Excited first time Z owner!
WoW ! Seems like you got a good start on things Your doing right by yaking out the stock enxhaust manifold at this point since you got a new one to put in now. Just remember the Intake and Exhaust share the same gasket and make sure you get the right one! I cant stress this enough! The one you need is the carburated version 1970-1974. And 1975-1978 Z's are fuel injected not carburated. I have a California verision '77 with rebuilt engine and whoever reassembled it used the wrong Carb version gasket which blocked the Fuel Injection Ports and made my Z run like a Mac Truck. An $18 part can cause so much pain Just make sure to watch for the little things like that and you'll be Ok You might want to look into a new steering wheel and make sure you buy a cool looking muffler to match that clean interrior when your finished. Other than that give here a thorough safety check jus to make sure shes up to spec. Big Thumbs up yo and Welcome to the club ~Z~

The State of Things....
:classic: So you got the Baller Screen I'll keep tha size down yo ^^ I hear ya, I thought the AFM to Throttle Body Boot hose clamps were kinda of an odd item MSA might not have so I odered a set those and new Splash Pan Bolts aswell. Shipping was reasonble also and comparable to other sources with combined shipping so I thought I give 'em a shout. Overall I'm happy with the parts and experience ~~ Note~ the clamps were not the same as the stock ones on my Z, the style is the same but screw is different so I'll use the lock washer from it on the old clamp since I only bought it cause I last a washer. Nothing makes me madder than hearing a Raggedy Muffler that the engine's not tuned to  You know what I mean? No back preasure, hollow sounding and louder than a Leaf Blower ! The coolest thing I saw was this Hot Asian Honey on the freeway in Sacromento flying by me in a 96 Prelude, I wanna say, doing 80 who had her stuff Tuned! The sound was Loud, High Pitched, had Perect Top Notch Concussion and had all the markings of racing Intake and Exhaust. I think she had an Ingen Intake setup from the manifolds all way to the silver muffler pipe on back. You can tell she wasn't Ricer cause here Black rims were obvious quality, the Champang Brown paint was clean and the suspension was perfect ride height and handled flawless on the up and downs. Man, I wish I could of got her number I was telling my friend Miguel who was with me at the time how she had her stuff Tuned Top. He's been listiening to me alot explaining enigine set ups and such and how you can tell a Ricer from a Racer just be listiening and watching a car in motion. He tells me yesterday he just went on a date with a Ricer Chic and wanted to see how serious she was. When she pulled up he suspected she was Riced. So he asked her where she got her muffler from. When she replied Kregan he said he had to set her straight

Weclome aboard yo You deffinately through an intersting mix to the forum here. I'll have to study up on my Rally History now!

I get so tired of this -ebay listing
I smell PhotoShoping on there. Deffinately looks like he went heavy on the Color Balancing, that car's borderlining on a water color painting ! Hatch wetherstrip has MAD overspray. IMHO this is a nice interrior with a quick resale paint job. I too feel your pain MEZZZ, I found my baby up the street from me and began to figure there was something wrong with the engine which I was never told. The fix it bill to find the problem was almost as much what I paid for the car, But after Maning Up, buying tools and doing the workmyself and finding the problem which was a 18 Dollor part my spirits are also up again. The best part is I now know more about cars working on my Z then I ever did just by reading magizines. And the feeling you get from meeting other Z'ers on the road and kids who say "Look at the car Mom! Thats a cool car Mom!", is 2nd to none ~Z~

Yea I'm new and need serious opinions.
Hmm.. 200 MPH on a stock enigine block, I don't know, drift is possible fo sho but others might know about the 200MPH thing. 1st in my opinion is get a R200 LSD. They come in 3.5'ish crusie ratios up to 4.36, 4.444 all the way upto 5.0+ even 6.+ Drag Racing gear ratios I believe with, the last 2 being JDM Super Rare. The search function is always helpful when searching fo new information and if you really need to go 200+MPH get an RB25(or)26DETT ^^ Skyline engines are good for 1,000+ HP but the S30 engines is it's own animnal in it's self ~Z~
