Not sure how much help this is but I have an article in one of my muscle car magizines on the proper way to apply rocker panel / side stripes. It was a very detailed 3 page article. I can't remember the whole thing but I'll dig it out of my archives this weekend and scan it for you. If anyone knows where I'm going with this, please feel free to fill in.... It basically summed up to measure the height of your stripes and decide what level of height to place it on the car. Mark the top and bottom of stripe location on the car with a grease pencil. Then you take a string and taped it to one end of your car at height chosen where the top of stripe will go, run it straight across as you feel is correct then tape the other end down. Take a water saluble grease pencil and mark some spots along the line of string where the stripe will go. Remove string. Then from here on methodes vary as far what kinds of stripe meterial your using. But it was the basic heating and sponge to move the bubbles out the sides reutine. But you do take the stripe and run it along the grease pencile lines to make sure it all lines up correct. Let me find the article though and scan it for you so it can give you more clear detail ~Z~

Usually I noticed that when the auction is over all Bidder id's are revealed to let you know who was all bidding. I geuss thats only what I noticed in regards to Items that were on my watch list. Can anybody else confirm this. I thougth pretty much the same as you did Beck untill I noticed this little ID revealation thing happining. ~Z~

Theres just somthing I don't like about those side skirts though on the C-2. Am I right or am I just tripping? I Just got out the TIME MACHINE It was 1970. I would tell you about the Datsuns I've seen but as soon as I stepped out of the capsule, I got dragged to a Dodge dealership! :disappoin ~Z~

There are turn signals ! If you look on both sides of the number zero you can see two small squares, one on each side. ((underlined in blue)) Also the makers stamp on the back looks like it says ~K~ and ~S~ for ~Kanto Seiki~. The stamp looks similar to the one on the back of my 1973 Skyline Speedo also made by Kanto Seiki. So if it wasn't installed on some sort of Nissan / Datsun, it was diffenately made by an OEM supplier ~Kanto Seiki~. Only if some one could read the Kanji writting on the wrapper maybe we can get more information..... so I guess I'm going to class ~Z~

thats what I thought, but it looked exactly like a boost guage version of a rally clock. It had the same black plastic shroud that surrounded the glass lens, same writing, same font style, indication needle, same everthing. So I was scratching my head for a minute but Dude said it was for a 240z. May have been after market but it was diffinately in the same style as a Fairlady Z. 240Zdog on ebay was the seller of it but the action link no longer has the pictures and zdogg don't have any pics either I belive. Who was VDO though, I'd like to get one those guages if I can find the exact one. ~Z~

IS THIS FRO REAL ? 11,000 RPM TACH. Dude claims it's for a first generation or first year fairlady Z. Also saw a boost guage that went were the clock would go for a '70-'78 Z. Saw it about 4 months ago and it looked like it came from the factory. Haven't seen another one before or since. It was cool looking almost like a rally clock with an Orange needle and read something like 30-0-20 Vac boost preasure os so. Anyone has photos or reference on that boost guage aswell? Heres what the owner said of it, "VDO turbo boost gauge, it was fitted to work in the stock 240z dash with no mods..... (were the stop clock is at).You need to replace the plastic vac hose." ANY info ARIGATO'D ~Z~

I'ts rare to find them in black (only seen 2 others) but they usually turn up in their natural Silver Chrome. ~Z~
