  1. Yes, that is from your viewpoint when sitting in the seat.
  2. If you can have a set of stripes reproduced or even painted on, that would be cool. You just don't see ZZZAPs that much anymore, probably because of the extra effort required to duplicate the stripes. Good luck with this interesting project.
  3. Hi Justin, I don't know squat about the ZZZAP model but I did see this ad for sale on Ebay showing the color without the special stripes. Could be an indication that the color was available without the stripes? The paint looks to be an older repaint in your pics, Take a look at how the original paint would have faded by now in this link. I'm sure someone will be able to provide more info. http://www.zcar.com/forums/read/4/1939765
  4. Hi Joce - I wouldn't worry a bit about maintaining the originality of your car and it would be an easy swap if the driveline is what the seller claims. From the pictures, it is hard to determine the extent of the damage caused by the fire. It looks like the fire was under the hood also, but there is no pics of the engine bay. I would be very careful buying a car that has been subjected to fire or extreme heat. Bring someone very knowledgable with you to evaluate the car. Even at an asking price of $1000.00, you may come out OK if there are enough salvagable good parts to sell, and you get a good driveline. It all depends on the extent of the damage. Good Luck
  5. For stone chips, you don't need any reducer. You will be applying with a small brush I imagine and you will want the paint to be as thick a viscosity as possible, in order to fill the chips and prevent running. If in doubt and you still wish to thin the paint and there is no label on the can, just take it to any good paint supply house. They will be able to determine the proper cutting agent needed.

  8. Thanks for that link Zak, every bit helps. Eventually, this has to make a huge difference. I think we have just become accustomed to getting these calls to some extent. I think I'll keep a log over the next month to track the improvement. Hopefully we will be able to opt out of the mass mailing of crap that I take out of my mailbox and deposit directly into my recycle bin too. That's a good one Mike, it reminds me of the routine I used to have, to try selling these people ficticious life insurance policies when they called, until it got right out of hand. By the way Mike...Happy Birthday!
  9. I don't know if this is a problem in other countries or not, but it has been a major annoyance here in Canada. Finally something has been done about it. The long-awaited national Do-Not-Call registry took effect yesterday. Canadians, tired of phone calls from telemarketers, can register. Companies that call after a phone number is registered face hefty fines. Canadians will be able to add their land line, cell or fax numbers on the national do-not-call list online at www.LNNTE-DNCL.gc.ca or by calling 1-866-580-DNCL (3625). For TTY service only (for the hearing impaired), the toll-free number will be 1-888-DNCL-TTY (1-888-362-5889). Now if we could only eliminate the unwanted junk mail and web spammers.

I spoke with the new owner and had a chance to look the car over, as it was on display at the ZCCA car show in Cleveland. It needs work but is a very good place to start from. It sold for a very reasonable price and from talking with the owner, I came away feeling she is in good hands. The owner also had another Z in the show.
  11. Hats off to the ZCCA & host club, the Z Association of Cleveland for a very enjoyable show today. I had the pleasure to briefly meet with many of the people whose hard work & dedication made this show a success. Good luck and have fun during the rest of the convention.
