what does one "officially" call the trim bar that was on the top of the front and rear bumpers of the early Z? Oh, yea, I have an AWESOME rear bar sample. If it was much better it would have to be perfect. One small dent, great chrome... it does have broken bolts in the center mounting holes, but anyone can fix that... yes, you will probably see it on the For Sale board, like a lot of my other goodies:stupid: Remember, tomorrow is Friday, watch out for those kiddos coming and going to school!!! Drive carefully.
  5. I'm selling my 240 ITS Ground Control System on the "For Sale" forum. Check it out: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12325
  6. Upon the request of a potential buyer, I opened the float bowls to check the condition of the floats (excellent!). In doing so I damaged the gaskets. I will drop-shipping a new set of float-bowl gaskets to the winning bidder. If interested, I can/will order Grose jets at the same time (at the buyer's expense of course...) to be dropped shipped. Thanks!
  7. Selling a custom fuel cell from my 72 ITS car. 12 gal. Poly Jazz cell with anti-sloshing foam, all inside alluminum container, mounted to steel frame. AN fittings throughout, including roll-over check valve. Bolt or weld tabs to the "psudeo-frame rails" under the car and bolt this in place. Obviously requires removal of the stock tank, and the tire well... Does not stick up above the inside deck level. Fab a cover for the newly created opening with a hatch for filling the cell, and go racing! Less than 2 season on this unit. Great shape, with small dent and scuff on can. See photos on my gallery. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=1945 $225 shipped UPS to your door (in the lower 48). e-mail questions to steve@t2motorsports.com
  8. 4.11 sold, 3.7 still available. Although this gear is not a HUGE change from the 3.55, it does make a diferece when coming out of the corners. You have a few more revs working for you, and with our low torque motors, it all helps. Well maintained, Redline oils only, ready to install... $175 shipped to your door (in the lower 48). e-mail questions to steve@t2motorsports.com
  9. Check the "For Sale" classifieds for listings for 2 diffs, both from our racing spares. $175 each shipped to your door (in the lower 48)
  10. Take a look at these awesome carbs! I really need to sell them. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33550&item=2463711264&sspagename=STRK%3AMESSE%3AIT Thanks!!!!!
  11. Hey guys, I listed my parts lot on e-bay and it goes off this Sunday. I need to remove the building where these parts live and I don't have the need to keep them. We used them as ITS spares and cores for years, and we're not racing in SCCA for now as well. Don't miss this chance to clean up on these parts! See the auction here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2460731826&ssPageName=ADME:B:LC:MT:1 Winning bidder will be very pleased, I GUARANTEE it! I suspect it is something like $3-5K worth of parts. E-mail me with your questions steve@t2motorsports.com
  12. Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know about a really cool website (shameless plug:o ) that sells vintage racing posters. I know this in not the Vintage Racing Forum, but I'm a Z guy and I play here too...... Take a look www.classic-racing.com If you want to purchase anything from the site, I will extend a $10 gift certificate to any member. Just e-mail me from the classic-racing site, and I'll set it up. Thanks for your indulgence, Steve
  13. I know this is an old post, but I've been AWOL... Don't forget to consider the number of mounting points for the cage. The class in which you choose to race may have rules regarding the maximum number. SCCA ITS for example limits the mounting point total to 6, with 2 optional forward bars for extra foot protection. Lastly, for your safety, please make sure you are getting enough penetration with your welds. A roll cage with cold welds will do more harm than good! SAFETY FIRST!
  14. Thanks Phred... I'm looking for something a bit more DIY than the AZZC solutions, and a bit more complete than the MMS stuff (more DIY also). MSA suggests using the 83-83 rear caliper with your own custom e-brake cable. That may be a way to go? any other insights?
  15. Who has done a 240 REAR disc conversion? I'm particularly interested in the caliper/disc selection. I'm convinced about the fronts: 88-92 Forerunner V6 4WD calipers 84 non-turbo drilled discs possible spacer issues et al ready for the work! :stupid:
  16. Who needs a '72 project car ready for a ground up restoration or a race car build up. I'm trying to help out a pal. See the ads under Parts for Sale (new forum) and Cars for Sale (new forum).
  17. SCCA Legal (2002 Road Race GCR) .25" Lexan FMR102 windshields with mar-resistant coating for the Z-Car. Weighs in at 12lbs., 7.5lbs lighter than glass and 250 times the impact resistance. No more rock chips that turn into runners. $395 each. In-stock and ready to ship I also found one more of the Lexan F2100 (not the exact spec called out in the GCR) windshield for the Z. This is an FAA spec material used in the airline industry. This would be perfect for the auto-xer or the vintage racer. $275 Also in stock: .125" polycarbonate quarter windows ($25 ea.) and rear hatch replacements ($50 ea.). Rear hatch replacement saves 8 lbs. and is SCCA legal! Buy the set (windshield, quarters, hatch) and I'll ship the quarters and hatch at my expense. Check out GE website for material specs http://www.structuredproducts.ge.com/ (enter F2100 or FMR102 in product search) M/C, Visa, Paypal Call Steve 512-694-4602 or email toths@mindspring.com
