My tach does the same thing and the whole car gets weak when turning on the lights. Someone said that the car needs to be rewired and I believe the tach has been replaced before because the previous owner left me a box of parts and a tach was in it. Becuase of this electrical issue my Z isn't running right now she wont start.

I would use NGK plugs ( thats what I have) and I also heard that BFGs are prettty good (tires). Hope this helps a little as I am an utter noob, newb, nub, nooblet, newbie, noobinator. There are also several threads on what to buy for a good tune up one with a list for $500 which I found very detailed. Make sure you got tools to and the proper ones at that.

Very nice job hls30.com. How do the subs sound?
  13. I typed in vintagecarman and google and it looks like he frequents several forums and discusses his buys and sells many of them off craigslist. an example would be an acura legend he purchased for $900 and is selling for $2000. Looks like he was legit, legit at making money. http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=73622 http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=75356 http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/member.php?u=9605

  17. My comment on nother california was because the prices in california differ greatly compared to that of here in the east coast where Z's are prone to rust. Also the ZX you mention preferbly 80-89, they are not worth nearly as much as the early onea are so your theory could very much fall short if you decide to invest in selling that era of Z's. BTW-And my attitude towards your original post was only because of the vibe i got from it, it felt like spam. That is my opinion as for other members up here they may feel differently. If I offened you in any way im sorry and I dont want the reputatiion you got from this forum to be bad because of my posts.
  18. 1.Thats nothern california 2. All in which you describe are ZXs which are easy to find basically. 3. Try looking for rust free 240 260 and 280"Z" s on the east coast for those prices. 4. Are you spamming in some sort of where way. 5. If you find "hundreds" of Zs why are you asking us why dont you just take those Z and sell them.

No, your set up looks great 240zman I just need to figure out if my speakers are default or not either way im replacing all four 4" speakers and the original radio of course im keeping said radio as a sentimental sort of thing, but im just to much of a techno geek as you can see from my signature below.

hmmm didnt know that no wonder i always here members complain about the sucky sound system. I dont know if mines were aftermarket and moded in but it doesnt seem like it it has the same design on all four and have the vinyl/plastic ginger covering over all for with the little holes. ( bad description i know but pictures worth a thousand words)
