my understanding this that the "wires" are glued on the glass and you can get "patch" kits from places like (I think) Eastmans. Also do a search on this site's forums I have seen this discussed before and I may of been here.

I have been gathering information for a Technical Article regarding the repair of Window defrosters (the grid itself and the rest of the circuitry). My attention has been drawn away by personal matters, but I'll get back to it in the near future.

In the 70s-80s, you could buy electric grid derfroster kits, just about anywhere. You just stick them on.

I did a search for one last fall, and it was not easy, but I foundthis one:

defroster kit.
