Posted September 17, 200321 yr comment_50043 I found this cable in my car and wonder what it is. The cable goes over the top of the passenger wheel arch and down into the dog leg. That end is just the cut end of the cable, but finished so that it won't fray. The eye loop is woven ito the cable. Was this used to pull the wiring harness over the wheel arch? Anyone seen one of these? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7955-carcheology-what-is-this/ Share on other sites

September 17, 200321 yr comment_50046 Hard to say looking at the photo. It may be a wire puller.I have seen on another type car a similiar unit to open the fuel door from the front seats.I can tell you whatever it was now it is a rattleROFL You never know whats in old cars.I found half a cane fishing pole in the fuel tank of my 46 truck. My guess is it was a cane fuel level finder once upon a time.
