Who's had an engine done recently? I'm trying to get a feel for a

price to rebuild a stock L28. At the moment, I am staring at an

invoice from ATK for $1,695 plus a $195 core. Back when I had my

L24 rebuilt (in 1989), it cost me around $1,500. So, this might

not be such a bad deal.

What do you have into your engine rebuild?

Checker Auto Parts, has completly rebuilt L28ET Long Block engines for $1675..

you don't even need to send in your original engine...

you can sell it !

Jasper rebuilt mine for just under $2000. Their current online catalog lists an L24 for about $1950 and an L28 for about $2200.
