240z wiring routing

Featured Replies

what’s the correct way to route the passenger side wiring from the dash to the rear? It would come down from right side of dash then along the outer floor, held in place by the bendy clips? And all that under the inner door sill vinyl presumably. It doesn’t come down along transmission tunnel and run across at some point does it? A PO had already remove the inner door sill vinyl piece so I’m not sure of how the wire gets from the floor to the grommet behind/above passenger seat. Should I cut a hole in the vinyl or just run it out the top? I’ve looked at a lot of 1970 Zs in BAT and haven’t found a photo yet. Haven’t found answer in Wick yet either.

This might help you with the routing. Yes, along the inside roclker, over the seat supports, and into the dogleg panel. It will be covered by the vinyl along the rocker. Your interior dogleg panel has a notch to acomodate the wiring.

That's perfect, thanks for the photo and description.

I haven't even looked at the doglegs in years, but it's nearly time to dust them off...
