Three drummers.  WTF.  Look at those guys...Shaver's Live Forever.

I saw Golden Earring at the Paramount in Seattle way back, late 1970's, early 1980's, something like that. They had two of everything. Drummers, horn section, bass, rhythm and lead guitars, keyboards. It was a wall of sound, and pretty trippy.

Of course mind altering substances might have been in play too, but the double we were seeing was real, not blurred.

Awesome performance.

At a great venue.

Live music is best.

Wow, haven't heard Golden Earring in a long time.  My favorite time was back in 94.  Three years earlier I had leased a VW Corrado and my wife was driving a 300ZX Turbo.  We had lots of fun racing each other over those years, er, I meant to say touring together.  I actually call that spirited driving Bumper Tag.  Anyway, I was returning the Corrado at the end of the lease, and my wife was in her car to bring me home.  The inevitable who can get there first started.  Shortly after the START, Radar Love came on the radio - my all-time favorite driving song.

As I pulled into the dealership and stopped, the song ended and I turned off the engine.  It was an absolutely perfect moment.  I got out and walked away, smelling hot brakes, listening to the engine crackling as it cooled, and smiled at my wife - because I beat her! 🥳

I saw them in roughly 2004 at Cactus Pete's in Jackpot, NV (no Mark Lindsay though). They did all their hits, very small venue (maybe 100 people) and was a great show.

Somewhere in southeast Idaho tonight, headed for Fort Bragg. Mrs. Racer and I are taking  the oldest grandsons car to him. Driving straight through.

A little Johnny Winter for the night time drive.

Here's your "Get out of jail free" song. She listens to the words while you sit quietly, hopefully you can keep your mouth shut. LOL

All the hot bands of my youth were doing covers of other musician's songs.
