Need help, 77 280- R200

Featured Replies

IMG_3115.JPG changing out leaking side seal in R-200. Tim ken bearing from z car depot quite a bit thinner. Will it work or should I go OEM. Old seal on left.

Thanks

The factory seals combine a dust seal with the oil seal.  They are better, they'll probably last another 150,000 miles, but the replacement seals will keep the oil where it belongs.  Just wear out faster.

Thanks for the feed back, we went ahead and put the aftermarket in since I couldn't leave car on the lift. They look just like national seals. Should have done more checking for a lower prices on the OEM like link u sent. Drove about 20 miles and no leaks but will check them again next time I have the car off the ground. Thanks again.
