thanks!

I was able to get just the pistons from a vw site in western Canada.

Now I'm trying to determine whether to go with floating or pressed.

floating pins, if the pistons have the proper groove to accept the locks. do not try to use the incorrect locks on a piston they were not designed for.

rebushing the rods to 22mm shouldn't be a problem. parts dinosaur has the rod bushes made by ROCK that will work on the L rods (which may be listed under VG30). BUT you might be able to get away with the current rod bushings since you're shaving quite a bit of material off them.

but as far as your question- resizing the rods is not a hard task by any competent engine builder. Also, consider going with ARP press in studs for the L/VG30 rods (same part number). They are a reasonably priced upgrade to Nissan/Datsun's shitty rod bolts, the bane of most high horsepower Nissan engines.
