Well...after a few failed attempts on ebay (item: 281544553219) , it appears the car finally found a buyer at $49,340.00.  The trick seemed to be removing the reserve price.

 

The final auction amount was well within the coveted Gold Medallion and the Nissan Commemorative Z territory.
