I did a search on seat foam and have been reading all the threads. Most people buy the foam kits and use those, but they are $125 each and I still have a lot to do on this car. I wanted to know if anyone has used generic foam or something else to restore their seats. I appreciate any input!!

I used the foam kits from Banzai Motorworks, not generic, and I believe they are worth it. It's easier to get the upholstery to sit right on the correct foam.

I have a set of seat foams for both seats from MSA that I used briefly before I put in seats from a Z32 300ZX. They are in perfect condition and I will sell them to you for $150 + shipping. PM me if interested.
