Thanks Dennis , sanding the engine bay was a nightmare , i plan on a simple resto mod im currently working on the engine trying to get the head off so i can take it to machine shop for a rebuild. DSC00672.jpg9911003.jpg240z060.jpgDAVid016.jpg Here is my other car.

did somebody splice onto the inner fender? its yellow underneath from the strut tower back but a different color in the front

Yes both sides were replaced from the strut tower forward , i didnt see it until i removed the undercoating , it looks like who ever repaired it did a pretty good job everything is nice and straight here is some more pictures. 82711005.jpg9911001.jpg00054-1.jpg

I"m surprised a central valley car had so much rust. very good quality metalwork and paint. keep us posted on progress.
